The dirtiest room I stayed in in Algeria. The flooring was stained, balding, encrusted in food, dust and dirt. Not a floor you want to walk on in bare feet. The rest of the room was battered and dirty as was the hotel as a whole. The other room amenities were basic. There was hot water and fresh bread and...

The rooms are a bit basic, and they desperately need to use a hoover on the floors. It's simple, but at least the bedding was clean. It does look very 1970s, and is a government run / sponsored hotel. It seems that the rooms on the third floor are newer, have double beds, rather than two singles, and are in...

pay 5900 DZD (say around £45) to travel back in time. The rooms are old and grim, reminded me of antiquated places I used to find in West Africa in the 90s. The bed is in the "hard" category. ath had plaster in it and the water pressure was weak. The shower was a handheld, with the wall bracket having...

It is the best hotel in town so probably also the most expensive, double room cost aroun 5000 DA. Rooms are good equipped, very big. Yu can buy in hotel one-day trip...

This Hotel was quite "charmant" during my trip. The photos look like the ones I took in 1999. Plenty of anthropological charm in this Hotel. The structural design is unique in all the world. The hand woven Chaouia rug in the foyer represented the rich cultural region of this hotel. The hand laid tiles in the rooms were a treasured...

The Chelia is a soul-less communist-style hotel which has definitely seen much better days. It is still clean, and still sports its prestigious 4 stars, but 2 stars might be much nearer to the truth. However, there aren't much other choices near Timgad and Lambèse, so there's no point in complaining. At least they have water all the time and...

A very modern two story design with angled room entrances like the interior of a whale. There is a lobby with no shop or internet, a bar that doesn't sell alcohol and a brochure mounted on the wall extolling features of the hotel that appear to be missing - pool, gardens, woodlands, gourmet restaurant etc. The staff were cheerful and...
