I have stayed here many times - and it is always clean, very comfy, and convenient. The owners are very hospitable, but never intrusive. The B&B is tucked just behind the main drag, yet completely private and peaceful. Breakfast is always gourmet. Try to stay here anytime I'm in the area. Highly recommend!!

Wonderful experience. The owners are very gracious, the breakfasts are wonderful and the location is unbeatable. It is only a couple of blocks from everything in the downtown area of Mackinac, including the Shepplers Ferry Dock. It is a true B&B, with only four or five rooms, not a historic inn that serves breakfast as some are. If I get...

This bed and breakfast was very convenient to walk to local stores and restaurants. The place was very clean and the owners were friendly. We had a delicious breakfast in the dining room and were able to meet other travelers.

The owners (Nancy and Barry) are gracious hosts. The B&B is well-maintained and is conveniently located. It’s an easy one block walk to the town's main street where the stores and restaurants are located. We stayed in the Hemingway Room. It is a large room with a fireplace and Jacuzzi. The queen size bed was comfortable. Breakfast is served at...

We purposely got the lighthouse room that was the most inexpensive and smallest. It was very comfortable and clean with a private bathroom. Free internet with an amazing breakfast and great conversation. Walking distance (1 block) to main street and 2 blocks to shepplers ferry. This was a great option for Hilton members and what we expect when traveling. Highly...

wow, we will definitely return to the deer head inn. Barry and Nancy were so welcoming and we really enjoyed getting to know them more over breakfast. Breakfast was amazing, still healthy but worthy of Better Homes and Gardens inclusion! It was delicious: an egg and vegetable dish over browned potatoes with an apple pie like dish and fresh fruit...

This was our first time at a B&B and it was basically exactly what I expected. Our room was cute and spacious, and all the themes were very cool (she let us see the other rooms because no one was in them yet). Everything was clean and very well kept. The food was very good, even though we aren't huge...

My husband and I stayed here for one night and were sad to leave! The owners are precious people, the Hemingway room was super cozy and very well decorated, and the breakfast was delicious! You can tell they put a lot of love into what they do! We really enjoyed our stay there! A pleasant treat!
