We have stayed at Inn on Mackinac for at least five times over the years. The staff has always been very wonderful. My family enjoys the breakfast (and not your normal standard hotel spread). They place cheese and crackers and lemonaide out in the afternoon, then cookies each night. Play a game of cards in a nice room near the...

This B&B was a step back in time for us. Quinn was the manager and he was very friendly and helpful. Because this is a B&B this is supposed to be like a house in the Victorian Age so the decor is vintage. We loved the 24 hr. Coffee,Tea and Hot Chocolate Bar.The bedtime chocolate chip cookies were amazing. The...

A very well kept up property; small but adequate rooms; a very acceptable breakfast that uses real china and silverware, not paper plates. The Hotel is air conditioned, which takes any very hot weather out of the equation. a five minute walk from "downtown." Right across the street from a good bike rental. The best time to bike the island...

This is my 15th year of staying at the inn and I will continue. The rooms although a little dated are roomy and clean.the staff always friendly and helpful.a decent breakfast is included in a pleasant room. It is always enjoyable to sit on the porch and listen to the horses go clip chopping by. And the hot tub helps...

If visiting Mackinac Island, The Inn on Mackinac is a must. Beautiful, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, extremely friendly and helpful staff. Conveniently located just a couple of blocks outside the bustle of the downtown district. Great breakfasts included. Wonderful porch offers a great opportunity to relax and watch a parade of pedestrians, bicyclists and horse-drawn carriages pass by. We were...

What a beautiful quaint place to stay. Being able to ride bikes and not worry about the dangers of a car is awesome. The rooms are beautiful and so is the surrounding area. Not many places left to visit with this much appeal. A must while on Mackinac Is. Ps. Don't forget to try the fudge.

First, you need to know what Mackinac Island is about if you've never been there. This is a 4 story Victorian Hotel filled with antiques. It has a great patio on the second floor where you can relax, watch the horses, bicyclists and pedestrians pass by. It's not in the heart of all the activity on the main street so...

We had a room with 2 queen beds and it was a really nice room. The staff at the hotel was great and pleasant. But ... Alas, the food they served for their breakfast was not edible. Scrambled eggs were like rubber and the bacon they served was like fried fat. We couldn't eat it. Hotel is a 10, but...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The year was 1867, an era of horse-drawn carriages and ladies in bustles. Blacksmiths were crafting horse shoes in glowing forges. During this height of Victorian culture, the Inn on Mackinac was built. Known then as Chateau Beaumont in memory of the famous Army surgeon at Fort Mackinac, the Inn on Mackinac has retained its quaint, old fashioned charm. The Inn’s facilities have been updated to meet the needs of the modern traveler while preserving its colorful history. Today, completely remodeled and redecorated, this beautiful Victorian Inn opens its doors, where the very special charm of our family-run Inn awaits you. ... more   less
