Bill, Jane, and Studly are the most wonderful hosts! They made our girls' weekend in Ludington an experience we'll always cherish. Jane's breakfasts are delicious, beautifully plated, and well-balanced. Meanwhile, Bill is endlessly accommodating and pleasant as he serves each course, ensuring that guests have everything they need to enjoy the meal. No detail is left undone. They're truly masters...

The hosts are very friendly and helpful. There are umbrellas available for guest use as well as hot water with various teas available at any time. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. They provide a small fridge for guest use which was helpful for leftovers. They also keep a stock of brochures for local attractions. The location is just out of...

Thanks so much for your review and the honest opinion about the bed. Bill and I checked it out (actually checked out all the beds as a result) and you are totally right. The bed was really creaky! So, there is now a new mattress and box spring on the bed in the Cassatt Room. We are so sorry that...

The interior of the Victorian Lamplighter is beautifully restored, the outside unfortunately has been "modernized." We spent a single night at the Lamplighter and would gladly have stayed longer. Comfortable public rooms. Our room was wonderful. Good climate control, quiet. Very comfortable bed with good reading-in-bed lighting available. WiFi worked fine. Breakfast was individually prepared and served by Bill and...

We just had a taste of Bill and Jane's extraordinary graciousness at their lovely and oh-so-charming B&B, but it was certainly enough to entice us to return and to highly recommend the Lamplighter to others. The innkeepers were so welcoming and warm and helpful and we enjoyed immensely our conversation together over Jane's scrumptious breakfast that included her famed baked...

Breakfast at The Lamplighter is truly out of the ordinary, from the baked oatmeal to delicious French toast-and an excellent juice blend- and fruit soup-and the wonderful little muffins. Our fireplace room was immaculate and stocked with amenities in case guests forget anything. The house is nicely restored and maintained, but the decor is not over the top. Jane is...

The Lamplighter is the quintessential charming B&B. The house and property are beautiful and immaculately maintained. The proprietors, Bill and Jane, were gracious, funny, personable, engaging, and warm. We loved chatting with them. They were also extraordinarily accommodating to my boyfriend's extensive list of food allergies; Jane made an entire wheat-, egg-, dairy-free cake just for him, so that he...

Terrific one night stay in the Rose Room. Bill and Jane are ideal hosts, welcoming and talkative but they also know when to leave you alone and just enjoy their impeccable period home. Told them we were taking the SS Badger ferry early the next morning and they had coffee ready by 6 and an early full breakfast by 7,...

My wife and I had an excellent all-around experience at this bed & breakfast. We stayed for 3 nights. Bill and Jane are great hosts. They both took the time to converse with us on many subjects over breakfast. All 3 breakfasts were different and they were all very, very good. Jane let us store our bicycles in their garage...
