We snagged a last-minute 4th of July weekend reservation on Thursday (minutes after someone cancelled). I was thrilled to get a spot, but even more excited that the price was so low! We paid $23/night plus a one-time fee of $5. ON A HOLIDAY WEEKEND!! We arrived with our family of 6, our tent, and a Suburban on Friday, July...

We love Ludington but rarely can camp in the state park. So in looking we found this as one of the "cheap" campgrounds in the area. Oh were we surprised! Large spaces. Plenty of shade. Great bathrooms. Quiet. Nice fellow campers. We will return!! Every lot has electricity, some full hookups.

Stayed at the Mason County Campground during the week of June 22nd while we were in town for a family reunion. Small (56 sites), clean, quiet campground, with very friendly and attentive Rangers. This place can accommodate everything from tents up to large RVs. All sites have electricity and wireless internet and about half have full hookups. There are also...

This is without a doubt, the best campgrounds we ever stayed at, and we have stayed at a lot! We were there from 7/24 to 8/3/14 and enjoyed our stay very much. Lots to see and do in area, the cost of camping was very reasonable, everything was clean orderly and up to date. Was quiet no problem sleeping, very...

I tent-camp and Mason County Campground is perfect. I like sites 16 and 17 because they're at the bottom of small inclines but easy to reach for setting up and taking down. They feel secluded and there's a grill and picnic table at each one, plus electricity. I also sincerely appreciate the clean restrooms and shower rooms. Shower rooms have...

We have been going to this campground for years. Very nice family park. Staff is very helpful. The staff maintains a safe and quiet park. (We appreciate the alcohol ban on Gus Macker weekend to maintain the family atmosphere). It is only a few mile drive to Lake Michigan Beach. And you are close to Ludington for all your needs...

Pros - Small intimate campground - lots of beautiful wooded lots - restrooms and showers well taken care of Cons - have to pay 25 cents for 7 min in the shower - we camped there for the Gus macker weekend, we were all very responsible adults and even had some children in our groups. We noticed they put up...

“There is no swimming pool but lake Michigan is just a few miles away and there is a playground for kids. The bathhouse, office and ice machine are within walking distance and staff are visible and welcoming.”
