Campground was very clean, bathrooms very clean and even had wildlife like deer walking through the campground. Very well managed and great weekly rates. Close to town, yet you feel like your out in the country. Next to Lincoln Lake and State park. Great for all kinds of recreation. If I was to go back to Ludington, I would stay...

We loved having full hookup. Convenient location in Ludington. Bathrooms were kept clean, park was quiet and well run. The manager was super helpful and does a really good job. There was a very nice paved biking and walking path that goes right into the campground that we enjoyed.

The lady we called ahead to and who checked us in was very nice. Sites were pretty unlevel and, in some cases, too far from the hook ups to actually be able to hook to the electric/sewer/water hooks. We had to ask for a different site from our originally assigned spot for that reason. We were only there for 1...

Sorry you were unhappy. We are a old park slowly being redone. Due to reservations the weekends are almost completely sold out on the weekends. All the better ones go first. Every year we do a capital improvement project and this years is redoing a big section of the electrical posts. Sorry again

1) Tent site was entirely on an angle on a hill. 2) Campsites are crammed right next to each other. 3) Bathrooms are outdated and gross. 4) You can hear traffic going by on the road loud and clear. 5) Fellow camping neighbors were extremely loud and nothing was done about it. Overall a horrible camping experience. We slept so...

I am sorry your experience was not good. A lot of our tent sites are not very large indeed that is why we take a lot of reservations early in the year. As far as the traffic we are along M 116 which gets a lot of traffic in and out of the city. We have a large client base...

First of all the campsite itself was pretty small and did not expect it. The campground only has 1 bathroom! So expect a long walk or bring a bike. The biggest reason I didn't like the campground was the fact that the neighbors were very loud and disruptive early in the morning and the campground didn't do anything. Another thing...

Sorry your experience was not a good one. I am a little confused we have never had a beach or advertised one the only thing we do advertise on the website and brochure is the beach being 1 mile away. So I apologize on the confusion. The bathroom on the other hand I can say WE have 2 bathroom facility's...

Enjoyed our stay here in June. Only complaint was the "YMCA type" showers for the men. Wife says the women had separation but not for the men. : ( Location is excellent for walking to downtown and Stearns Beach. They do need speed bumps before the walking trail as people couldn't read the red stop signs City of Ludington has...

We spent 3 nights at Carter last week. We had tried to get into the Ludington State Campground, but it was full. We drove thru the state campground when we got there, had to pay $9 to just drive thru to check it out for a future trip. Arg! But after seeing it, we will return to Cartier Park Campground!...

I've been coming here since I was a kid. I have never encountered a problem. I love bringing my family here. It's not as busy as the State park and it's quite and centrally located to every thing we come to Ludington for. The people that run this place have always been helpful and nice. I've already made my reservations...

I read some reviews on this park, and was impressed that people said the management was very strict about barking dogs. We camped with 8 dogs surrounding us. Of the 8, only 1 did not bark. I cannot understand dog owners and why they don't mind letting their dogs bark. Our site was nice, with lots of BIG shade trees...

I spent a weekend trip here. The staff was nice, and efficient. There's a fire pit and pinic table provided at every spot. Firewood is available for purchase. Centrally located restrooms with showers. A nice walking trail. It's not for from Stearns park or Ludington state park for going to the beach.
