Had a wonderful weekend. Arrived at 11 a.m. which was early.(check-in is at 3 p.m. We were told our room was not ready. Which was fine. Oddly enough, they never asked for our name or what room # we had reserved. We were told to come back at 3. Sooooo, plenty of sights to see here anyway. We found the...

I found this hotel perfect for a quick getaway. The hotel is very quiet and very old. The best part is the beach access. It is directly across the street from the lake and the lake is sparsely attended since it is all private beaches. We would definitely like to go back soon.

Unfortunately my wife and I were plagued with poor weather the weekend we visited, but the Lakeside Inn was decent enough. We paid one night for two as it was a couple of weeks before their summer season officially began. Our room was spacious and clean and I imagine that their front deck is a real treat during the summer....

We've been here twice now. Not a fancy place, but comfortable and gives you a feel of really getting away. Beach and walks are lovely. Great fireplace. Terrific bargains off season (two nights for one). Lovely art. From a different era, when inns and artists' retreats were in. You have to check out the panorama adjacent to the front desk...

Lakeside Inn surrounds you with that cozy rustic northern Lodge feeling and also sets you back in time with it's historic preservation and charm. Their private Lake Michigan beach is across the street but is only accessible by many steep steps. Other near by beaches and sand dunes are more easily accessible if needed.

My family and I were at the Lakeside Inn for Thanksgiving and had the most wonderful meal ever. The Inn is gorgeous, with a very interesting history. Service was wonderful and staff was very friendly and accommodating. They had a traditional Thanksgiving dinner buffet with turkey and ham. They also had an amazing assortment of seafood and some Norwegian favorites....

Beautiful quaint and simple lakeside inn that is over a century old located on a high overlooking a beautiful Lake Michigan beach. I only come here after November 1 until late spring when it is two nights for one and only between Sunday-Thursday when few if anyone is here. Rooms are nice and comfortable. The limited off season staff are...

This is one of my favorite places in all the world!! I have returned to this precious spot year after year. Perhaps 15 years ago, I was traveling with a friend and we stumbled upon Lakeside Inn while exploring the area. First of all, we were enthralled by the incredible collection of Edward Curtis photographs that adorn the walls. Curtis...

We selected Lakeside Inn at the recommendation of the bride-to-be of my nephew due to its convenience to their wedding venue at Weko Beach in Bridgman, MI. After checking the website photos and seeing the absolute charm and history of this Inn, I immediately booked rooms for my husband and me and then two more adjoining rooms for my daughter...

A Very disappointing overpriced visit. This historic building is dirty. Cobwebs. Dusty. Cluttered. The rooms and hotel common areas are decorated with unnerving American Indian imagery everywhere. Some interesting 1920s Craftsman decor is scattered about haphazardly. The owners clearly don't get the basics right. On one of the biggest holidays of the year, they were undergoing a huge painting project...
