We (a group of 8) stayed at the Birchwood Inn for, our second time, from September 9-12, 2016. We booked the same room that we had last year, top floor King bed room with refrigerator and balcony. The room was exactly how we remembered it, comfortable, clean and inviting. The staff at Birchwood Inn is very helpful and nice. We have...

Let me begin by saying that I have never given a bad review before. I really wanted to like Birchwood Inn, as it has promise. While rustic in appearance and upkeep, that was not the issue. (Other reviewers had commented negatively about this, so I had no illusions and had an idea of what to expect; I wasn't staying at...

Great location, quiet, clean, situated amidst an equestrian farm. It's rustic which some reviewers don't understand. We reserved a two bedroom suite which was spacious and private as it separate from the motel. Owner is on site, available and friendly. Beds were very comfortable and clean. Did not try the pool. The continental breakfast was standard donuts, bagels muffins toast...

We stopped for one night, having been at Pond Hill Farm all afternoon. This is a well maintained, older property. It is clean, not immaculate. The front desk employees were very cordial and helpful. We used an outdoor table to play board games. I felt good about the cost ($120) because it's a very expensive area.

We were in town for a family reunion and stayed here because were told it was rustic yet clean, and that it was the closest and most affordable nearby. Well, I may have been spoiled by other lakeside places I stayed for exactly the same money, but this place is seriously overpriced for what it is. NOTHING in this hotel...

Big rooms, quiet setting, some rooms have a patio with privacy. Outdoor heated swimming pool very clean. Fire pit with seating and lots of wood to burn. Swings for children and pet friendly. Only a few minutes drive to Harbor Springs for some shopping, food and sights.

I'm glad we chose Birchwood Inn over one of the chain hotels in the area. The location is lovely and quiet and our accommodation was a fair price for the time of year. Our rooms were clean, and very large with 2 bathrooms and a separate living room with a small fridge and microwave. We would stay again. WIFI worked...

While it is beautifully well kept in a very peaceful aria there were some big issues we had. There seemed to be very little staff, there was no refrigerator or microwave even though we paid extra for a room with one, and there is a light continental breakfast at best, meaning we had to change our whole days plans to...

Perfect for a short ski weekend. It's not the Ritz, but a homey, lodgey kind of place...very up north. I thought it was pretty cool, but if you want modern decor, then this is not your spot. For me, cleanliness is a number one priority and it was clean. For the price, you can't go wrong. It is centrally located...

We woke up to deer grazing in the beautiful countryside behind the Inn. The property was a hidden treasure just outside a great, romantic town. The bed was very comfortable, the room was huge and the property situated next to beautiful fields and wooded areas was lovely.
