We enjoyed our 1 day stay in this Hotel before making our way back to south Michigan. Due to Covid restrictions, the Pool and Hot tub were out, which we didn't know about till after arrival, but reception offered us a room upgrade to in room jacuzzi, which my kids loved, it really made their stay worthwhile. The room was lovely, but in need for some minor remodeling and fresh colors, but beds were comfy and relaxing. Our room had a beautiful view of the bridge with its lovely bright night lights. Breakfast was great compared to others, they had better hot options then others, but again due to covid, its grab and go and fully sanitary process which was considerate and great.
This hotel did an excellent job of making our stay safe during the pandemic. The room was extremely clean, with everything sanitized and wrapped. The were very friendly and helpful at the front desk and followed safety guidelines, such as masks, distancing and had a large breakfast in a bag set out in the morning, with distancing in place. I appreciated the above and beyond attitude!
We spent two night here and had an excellent experience. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and safety in the face of COVID. Everyone wore masks and they've modified their breakfast to ensure minimal contact, but there is still a lot of variety, including yogurt, eggs, oatmeal, and fresh coffee that you can take to your room. Nice view of the river and easy to travel to other sights on the Keweenaw Peninsula. Very pleasant and hassle-free stay!
My husband and I recently spent two nights at the Ramada while on a 5 day trip in the Upper Peninsula. We found our room to be very clean with a comfortable bed and comfy pillows. The ladies at the front desk were very helpful in providing a map of the Hancock/Houghton area, plus an extensive list of local restaurants. Since it was 8:00 in the evening when we checked in, they also suggested pizza places that would deliver to the hotel. This was a great location for us as we spent the next 2 days exploring the area around Houghton and going to Copper Harbor. The area around the hotel was very quiet at night. The views from our room of the canal were beautiful and we made use of the boardwalk walking area that was adjacent to the hotel and continued along the canal to a nearby…
Three of us stopped here as we rode the UP on our Harleys. Front desk was professional & accommodating. We asked for a rollaway, they brought that to us right away. Breakfast was available (Covid Style). Breakfast in a bag (fruit & protein bar etc). Our room was clean. We would stay here again if in the area.
Planned to stay here for a weekend away. Boyfriend booked it because of the price. Due to COVID housekeeping wasn’t tending rooms, which was just fine with us. Our first morning there we did have a knock on the door and was instructed that if we needed anything we could call the desk and would have our needs met. Perfect!! We leave the next day, come back to a slip under the door stating the same thing. Ok. Fine. We leave that evening, returned to find a garbage can with a sticky note on it “Next time you can just set your garbage bag outside your door and we will pick it up” uhhhh we didn’t have any garbage to be removed. Nor did we ask for any servicing at any point. Someone called our phone four times between 2:30 and 2:45 am. We finally unplugged the phone. Pros: The Views…
We recently stayed for a week at the Ramada in Hancock Mi. We had a wonderful time and the staff was amazing. We felt totally safe. The staff did a great job making keeping the hotel and guests safe from the virus.
Put myself and 2 year old child out of hotel after saying we could have long stay in room while other child was at hospital for dental surgery. Corona virus has everything shut down and we were told not the hotels problem they wanted us out right then and refuse to even book another night.
Perfect for hitting the trails. Nice staff. Rooms were clean. Breakfast good. Located in a great spot with restaurants and bars close by. Would recommend and will be returning for another fun sledding trip.
Great place to stay. Beautiful view of bridge. Great service, wonderful staff and plentiful continental breakfast with lot of variety to choose from. Would definetly stay here again. The restaurant inside the hotel had reat food as well and very nice staff.
