Now fast forward 2 months and you wouldn't recognize it as the same place. The breakfast now consisted of eggs and toast to go (which was also an option previously) and some stale blueberry muffins and three types of juice in open carafes sitting on a table. Our reservation was for a pool side view and they stuck us in a room right next to the breakfast area and you couldn't see anything but the wall of their closed down restaurant. We were moved to a room more pool adjacent, but with sub par air conditioning. Room was missing the remote for the TV and when we asked about it, were treated like we had lost it (we'd been there for less than 2 hours) and it seemed like they weren't going to find one for us. Beds were still decently comfortable but they had these decorative runners at the end of the bed that were filthy and clearly showed bodily fluids on them. Housekeeping knocked at the door by 830 all 3 mornings. Our second day we had turned down housekeeping service and just traded towels for clean with the maid servicing our area and were treated rudely again like we were putting her out by not needing our room cleaned, to top it all off, we were charged $300 for allegedly smoking in our room when we absolutely had not! And we were seen frequently exiting the building to smoke in our vehicle, and used our room key to re-enter every time. We were charged the day before checkout and when housekeeping knocked again at 830, she accused us of smoking with no evidence other than they smelled it in the hall (this was before I'd noticed the 300 dollar charge).
I've never been made to feel so disrespected as this staff made us feel our entire stay.
There did. It seem to be any employees around besides one girl at the desk who was overwhelmed with all the people in line and needing her. Nobody ever came to help her and the line was out the door. I have not seen any other employees or cleaning staff. She was also the person that brought towels to my room when I requested more after waiting in line for 15 minutes to grab them and she said she didn’t have them available at that moment.
The breakfast buffet left us deciding not to eat, instead we are going to Mac Donald’s.
The room was updated and seemed to be clean so that was great after our experience in the pool area. This hotel is too big not to have any staff and it is need of severe cleaning and maintenance.
"Would not recommend staying here. Clearly building is not up to code for emergencies. "Read full review
