Small motel, small town on the shores of Lake Superior. Privatly owned, with a great view of the harbor and of Lake Superior. It is peaceful, quiet, and serene. The owners are very friendly. The rooms are nice and are especially clean. But please note: It is not air conditioned unless you open the windows. If you happen to be...

We stayed in a couple other motels in Grand Marais in past years and this is by far the best. The rooms are quiet, clean and comfortable. If you don't have a problem with stairs, I recommend the second floor. There's no air conditioning (which you often do not need in Grand Marais) but if you do, the second floor...

Friendly owners. Very clean and quiet!!! establishment. Simple room with all needs met (fan, fridge, microwave, table/chairs). Comfortable bed. Neat yard with swing overlooking bay and Lake Superior. Loved the sauna. Hot tub available, too. Two levels and I was pleased to get a lower level. We were dealing with a personal issue and the owners worked with us on...

The view from the large window in our room was beautiful! It is a no-frills motel but that's what we wanted. Our room was clean, as was the spa room and beds were comfortable - would definitely return.

We stayed for a night. The hotel is on a hill over looking the bay. Great views from our room. The service was excellent. Will stay here again next time we're in town. The owners were very helpful and nice.

We stayed at Voyageurs Motel at the end of July 2014 and it was a fantastic stay! The room was one of the cleanest I have ever stayed in, and I'm picky. The hot tub was fantastic and even came with lovely smelling additives. But the absolute best part of the stay was opening the curtains each morning to Grand...

Up on a hill overlooking Lake Superior. Walking distance to Grand Marais. Even offered a garage for our CanAm Spyder! Clean rooms, very quiet, basic furnishings. Very friendly and helpful owners. Recommended.

We stopped here for one night during a cooler than usual July on the Upper Peninsula, and because of such, we about the only ones in this small two story motel. No problem--we had the hot tub and sauna to ourselves! This is a nice clean place, with a decent view of the Lake. Owners live next door so everything...

We had booked a room elsewhere and when we arrived we saw it was not a very nice place. We were lucky enough to get the last room available at the Voyageurs. It was just a very lovely place to stay. We had an excellent view of the harbor and it was very clean. The owners were very friendly. We...
