If it weren't for the location, we wouldn't have even booked here, and my fears were confirmed as soon as we walked in the door. I can handle 1970's decor, but it was filthy! And to top it off, there was an envelope in the room to tip the housekeeper! I'm sorry, but you have to actually clean the room...

Old. And very run down Cold water paint coming off walls .toilet. has to be flushed twice. Was not worth the money. Door did not shut. They emptied the holding tank at 9 p.m by our window. Made our room smell bad. Heard mice in the walls. Never go back

There are no other options for nearby accommodations, otherwise I would pack my bags and leave immediately. I could write a long review as to why NOT to stay here, but let me just say, "despite the beautiful location it is not worth staying here". The pictures say it all! I did not take pictures of the coffee pot and...

On the good side, the Lodge is pet friendly. The rooms were clean, the seclusion helped get a restful sleep. The big selling point is the location. We just hope the location can get the better motel it deserves. We've been to this property before and have noticed a decline in the amenities. This trip the area was experiencing record...

I've stayed here before and know what to expect. I love that you can take a short walk through the dunes to the water. This is a no frills mom and pop hotel and it was very clean. There was a fridge and microwave in the room. I'm there to explore the area and get a good nights sleep so...

For many years we and extended family members have rented the individual cabins by the bay for a week. The last two years have brought needed improvements - new cookware was especially appreciated! The cabins were cleaner than before. The cabins are old, but current management is making some improvements. The decks on each cabin greatly extend the living space!...

We've been going to the North Shore for well over 15 years and have shared our experience with family and friends. It's nice to be able to have your own unit to go back to with a small kitchen, bath and cable tv. The units are always clean and have been recently upgraded -- we appreciated the firm bed!

The only good thing I can say about this motel is the location. Even then, you have to walk over a small dune to get to the beach. I would stay in town and walk to the town beach. This place is a dump.

Served our purpose of needing a bed for the night. Very outdated. Screens had holes so we couldn't open the windows without tons of bugs flying in. Considering the location and limited options available, we rate it average. It was very quiet and allowed for a good night sleep. My husband and I had individual beds. I can't remember if...

We stayed in Grand Marias because we wanted to be at the edge of the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. We were late checking in around 9:30pm. I had called the hotel and left a message around 6:00pm that we were still coming and would be a late arrival. I did not receive a call back. When we got to Newberry,...
