Very cute and quaint hotel. I was very happy with my selection of this hotel. It was very cute to come downstairs at any moment and hear polka music to get you in the mood for your amazing stay in Frankenmuth. the room was sparkling clean. The breakfast and happy hour were very delicious and well attended by the staff, who made every effort to keep things replenished and full. Everybody here very very friendly. My tiny little criticism would be there was quite a bit of road noise for the rooms facing forward. In a previous review, somebody said they would not recommend the riverside rooms in the winter but I disagree It would’ve been pretty to look at that as well. The front facing rooms were great for people watching just a little bit loud for traffic. Thanks Marv!

Stayed here for one night with the Queen. We love the Muth, usually coming 3-4 times a year, either by ourselves or with others. Have always stayed at the B.I., but they had a two-night minimum during Spring Break. We'd checked out Marv's lobby before while walking the town, and thought we'd check if there was availability. Yep. Great price, and great deal. Got there at 2, and I love the covered parking. Room was ready. The room was one of the cleanest throughout compared to anywhere we've stayed. In fact, the entire property was clean, clean, clean. The room was spacious. The bed was excellent. There were plenty of nice towels. The room had a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, though coffee was always available in the lobby. There was a complimentary evening happy hour...two FREE drinks per person, with light snacks. There was a really nice breakfast. If the weather was better, there is a large back patio to use/eat your meal. In fact, our room had a nice small balcony overlooking MAIN STREET. So cool. And, one of the best parts was...there were no slides. No pools. No arcade. (If I'm bringing kids, believe me, I'm all jn.) There was only peace and quiet. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh...

We chose The Marv Herzog Hotel because it was away from the most "hustle and bustle" areas of Frankenmuth, yet it offered a convenient location to walk to shops and restaurants. The old-fashioned setting takes you back in time, but we enjoyed the ambience. The river terrace was a great spot to relax and enjoy the complimentary wine & snacks in the evenings. The breakfast was complimentary, too. Every employee was friendly and professional, so it was a comfortable stay. Recommended for those who appreciate a slower pace.

After a brief mix up on the reservation request, we spent the first night on the street side of the hotel.....not too bad but traffic noise does start very early. Staff was excellent in moving us to the river side in a timely manner the next morning and everything was perfect from thereon. Room 101 was at the end of the first floor hall which affords you the beautiful terrace as your "balcony" It was never too crowded and folks who gathered stayed toward the middle of the building which gave us privacy. This hotel is owned by Drury and thus extends all the wonderful qualities of Drury properties, cleanliness, excellent staff and comfortable rooms and bathrooms and grounds. They just do not acknowledge the points and rewards program, no biggie. Being Drury, they extend the excellent breakfast each morning and the cocktail 2 hours in the evening. Our hostess each evening was most charming and efficient with the 2 free drinks and snacks. While at the hotel, you will learn all about Marv Herzog and get his vibe with the constant polks music piped through their sound system. ?? hope you like polka. This was a change up from our usual choice and I was very delighted by everything about our stay here including the covered parking

Our experience was okay but nothing to rate 5 stars. The lobby is very attractive with numerous seating places. The breakfast area is sufficient with an outdoor space if weather permits. Our room had a balcony overlooking the river, very scenic. The room itself has no windows except for the balcony door, which has a small window in it. Room size is average, beds comfy, but only one chair. The breakfast was better than most but the same every day, real scrambled eggs would be nice instead of the fake kind. There is an evening reception with wine, beer and cheese, crackers between 5 and 7. For the price I would check somewhere else next time.

I love the Marv Herzog hotel. It’s not too big or too small. The view of the river is very nice. They have a patio you can sit on and watch the boats go by while you eat your free snacks they provide from 5 to 7 each night. The hotel is not much to look at from the outside but the inside is very nice. It has a garage to park in so your car isn’t sitting in the sun all day. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. They also have free hot breakfast. The staff is very nice and friendly.

I have had a confirmed reservation for three nights, two queens, with riverview and balcony, for over six months, made on the hotel's website, yet when I went to check in they could not find it. I have the printout of the reservation and showed the clerk the printout and the email confirmation on my phone. He checked the website and did indeed see my reservation. He called the manager and they would not honor the reservation, but did offer me a room at the Drury Hotel down the street with a $40.00 a night discount, their "partner" hotel. Completely unacceptable! They acknowledged that I did have the reservation for Marv Herzog, but would only give the room in the Drury. Horrible management, would never do business with them or Drury. Fortunately, the Fairfield Inn had a room at a much cheaper rate and when they heard what had happened they were astounded.

Nice hotel in the heart of it all though a little pricey. Parking under the hotel is a little tight, even for my GMC Terrain. We parked my car on Friday and didn’t move it again til Monday. We were able to walk everywhere. The hotel is nice and secure - you have to use your key card to get to the parking garage from the lobby or enter the lobby after 10p. Nice that they have wine and beer with small appetizers free everyday. Breakfast was great - hot foods (eggs, biscuits and gravy, potatoes etc) yogurts cereals. The staff were always friendly and awesome.
It was great first time in Frankenmuth and I would recommend it. The room was spacious and clean.

Stayed for three nights with my mom last week and really enjoyed our visit. Located right on the main street of attractions with everything in walking distance. The rooms were clean and the hotel staff were lovely. We enjoyed the cocktail hour and breakfast, as well as the back patio. Rooms are a bit dark and the door needs to be open to balcony in order to let in natural light (screens would be awesome) but it is an older hotel. There is underground parking available as well.
Also to anyone traveling to Frankenmuth...be patient, absolutely everywhere we went was short staffed. Just go in with a good attitude as they are trying their very best.
Birch Run outlets are 15 minutes away in one direction and Saginaw shopping is 20 minutes in the other direction (both very easy to get to). Bronner's Christmas market is less than 10 minutes away...it was amazing (world's largest Christmas store).

I would like to say how pleased I was with the Marv Herzog Hotel. I travel to the Frankenmuth area April 4- April 8. I travelled about 10 hr to get to this area. I checked in about 8:30 on the 4. The Desk Clerk Judy was very helpful and very pleasant. And a great sense of humor. Judy advised me of everything the hotel offered. Like the hours of breakfast and about the beer wine and cheese snack they had. When Judy worked on the dayshift she greeted me when I got off the elevator. She wqs very helpful on places to see and places to eat.
The lady Linda who has a lot on her plate was also very pleasant. She found time to talk with the guest while she was wiping down the tables and helping guest dispose of their dishes. When Linda worked the 2 hrs for the snacks she was still very pleasant with the guest. Linda was also very helpful. I feel both of these Ladies are a great asset to this Hotel. I would stay at this hotel again on my next visit to this area.
