The Frankenmuth Motel is AAA approved and locally owned and operated. The Motel is one street off of Main street, just 2 blocks North of Bronner's CHRISTmas Wonderland. We are situated between Michigan's Own Military and Space Museum and Zeilinger Wool Company. The Motel has 53 ground floor rooms and (following State Law) we are all non-smoking. The Motel does have a outdoor smoking area. We also have a limited number of pet rooms with a small cleaning fee. Coffee is available in our office/front desk area during office hours and a cold continental breakfast is available every morning. We may not be located on Main Street but we are only about 5 blocks from most Festivals and the RiverPlace Shops. We are only 8 blocks from Bavarian Inn and Zehnder's Restaurants downtown and all of Main Street has Free Parking. Within walking Distance of Zehnder's Splash Village.

Detailed Reviews
Traveling with the family, we found The Frankenmuth Motel to be clean and comfortable. The room was up to date and well maintained. This motel retains a bit of old school charm consistent with the town of Frankenmuth and is very close to area points of interest. Quiet, clean, safe and convenient. Fridge, microwave and in room coffee included. Park right in front of your room. We would definitely stay here again.

The rooms were very clean, and comfortable. We were able to adjust the heat or cooling system to fit our comfort level. We had adequate towels, and wash cloths for the amount of time for our stay. There is a refrigerator, microwave, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, shampoo, body wash, and hand soap available in the room. Ice machines are conveniently located along with a pop machine. The continental breakfast is very good, bagels, yogurt, and juice. For the price we paid, we would definitely stay here again.

We normally stay at Bavarian Inn which is located right in the middle of everything in Frankenmuth. They were booked so we decided to try Frankenmuth Motel for a night. It was $100 less a night with a clean, comfortable room. It's a simple motel without bells and whistles but it has everything you need. It's minutes away from River Place by car and very close to Bronner's. Parking is free at River Place so you can park there and walk to everything you need.
They offer a grab and go breakfast with a lot of options. We will probably stay there again and feel that it's a great low-priced choice.

Clean, quiet, affordable, the best place to stay while in Frankenmuth. The motel is one story so no heavy-footed guests above. I make reservations through the motel website to get the best price. The front desk person is always personable and housekeeping does an excellent job (don’t forget to tip them!)

Just stayed one night but was very impressed. A beautiful friendly young woman checked us in- we were early but the room was ready. Convenient parking right outside the rooms. There was a picnic table in the yard. In room coffee, microwave and fridge, nice carpeting, soft towels and hot water- bang zoom! The AC was older but was fine. The bedding smelled fresh and a breakfast was included. I loved the blooming hydrangeas in the grounds. It was a nice touch that there was a menu of church services posted in the reception area. The hotel was adjacent to a military museum, healthy looking corn field, and a high end car lit that we enjoyed looking at. It was a great location and walking distance to most attractions, weather cooperating! It was very hot when we were there so I had to drive.

If you are looking for five swimming pools and a golf course, or a water park for the kids, this is not the place you want to stay. However, if you are interested in a clean room, updated fixtures and a gracious and helpful staff all at a fair price, this motel is for you. The rooms are not fancy, but ours was more than adequate. The motel is just off the main highway, on Weiss Street, and it is pretty centrally located. If you are up for a bit of a walk, you can get to Bronner’s, the River Place Shoppes and downtown on foot. We are normally RV people but with the cost of gas we choose the motel this year. The Frankenmuth Motel was such a nice place to stay we are planning to book there again for our next trip.

We loved everything about this little hidden treasure. We go to Frankenmuth twice a year and have never stayed here but we definitely will again. The staff is very nice. We had a king size room. The bed was so comfy with many pillow options according to what you like. One of the best parts was the heater, fridge and microwave were very quiet so you aren’t disturbed in the night with them going on and off. The room was very clean as well. We found a very nice continental breakfast in the morning. We had bagels, hard boiled eggs and yogurt. It was great. You can walk over to Bronners and downtown too. It’s a gem!

We have stayed at the Frankenmuth Motel every year for the last five years. The motel has not slipped as far as quality and cleanliness. The water is always hot and the rooms are spotless. You can pay 3x the room rate to stay at the "name brand" hotels but you won't get a better experience than the family owned Frankenmuth Motel.
I've never been disappointed in the five years we have been staying at the motel and count on the more personalized attention we receive here.

Classic style old fashion motel setting where the rooms have been upgraded and modernized. Rooms have mini fridge, TV service with multiple channel service, bathrooms have new vanity countertops, new sink, new faucets. Carpeting is clean, beds are comfortable with 4 pillows: 2 soft and 2 hard. Each room has outdoor access to walkway with a chair where you can sit to enjoy the outdoors right outside your room or walk to the picnic table. Park right in front of your room. Even a horseshoe pit for fun. Continental breakfast with coffee for the day. There are newer places in town to stay but you spend much more just to do so. This is well worth it to stay here.

Yes. They have a limited amount of pet friendly rooms. Fee is $10.00 USD per night. You have to call the hotel directly to book a pet friendly room to make sure it's available as there is a demand for them and also they need to be aware. You cannot book a pet friendly room online ie with expedia, etc. Only directly with motel
Check in time is anytime after 2pm. Check out in the morning is 11am.
No pool, but parking is right in front of the room...I have no clue about Honeymoon suites....we've been married 45 years...LOL !!
The rooms are a nice size tho
Our room had a fridge,no micro, I have noticed on rd if the motel does not have these appliances in rooms, they always have some rooms with both for your medicinal reason
Frankenmuth embraces all seasons. The events go on all year long so it depends on what type of activities you like to see and do. The best guide to Frankenmuth is our Visitor Center's website.
