I booked honor and folly after reading a review in a uk paper; they were right to recommend it. The place is gorgeous, stylish and perfectly located in Corktown. I felt so at home and didn't want to leave (ever) close to some great places to eat, drink and hang out. The owners were delightful and really I can't wait...

I was treated to a vacation in my hometown by my wife this weekend, staying here at Honor and Folly Friday and Saturday nights. Booking was easy, and the owner easily reachable. The space is amazing, both for what is within but where it is. Inside is exposed brickwork, 2 beds and baths, a loft space, and 2 outdoor porches....

Stayed at Honor & Folly this past Labour Day Monday, plus, following Tuesday night. Short and sweet getaway. The nicely appointed retro apartment was perfect for our base in Detroit. What a score. Perfectly situated on Michigan Avenue near the old statuesque train station, Honor & Folly is a great central hub for those looking to explore the Motor City. We stumbled on this incredible loft when visiting Detroit for the first time; best described as rustic industrial, this place had everything you may need for a comfortable stay in a hip end of Detroit. This was the perfect place to stay in Detroit. Everything you need is right here --- we visited the coffee bar downstairs every morning and ended each evening with cocktails at the Sugar House. The apartment was stylish. The second bedroom is small, but pleasantly quirky. Highly recommended.

We traveled with another couple to Detroit in September 2012 and rented the two rooms at Honor and Folly. It really is terrific -- the apartment/inn is eccentrically and pleasingly decorated, and it is directly above the most amazing cocktail bar I have ever been to (and I have been to a LOT).
