we stayed with a group of people during the March break and was amazed how large the hotel was. It took me a while but I finally got the hang of the skywalk. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly and courteous. You didn't need to leave the hotel as there are numerous restaurants and shops...

Rooms very nice and comfortable. Bell men and desk attendants were great. I had issues with room service though -- took more than a hour to get a bowl of soup in the evening and then my breakfast didn't arrive at all -- even after 2 calls to the kitchen. It was blamed on a conference in the hotel. Opted...

There for a conference. Totally unprepared for our LARGE group to check in, started with only 2 desk clerks for over 1,000 check-ins. Waited in line over 1.5 hours just to check in. Room was adequate, nice view of the river & Canada. Group breakfast buffet was cold every morning, first morning first bite was of a Chicken Florentine Sausage,...

We stayed in the Marriott at the Renaissance Center March 20-22 for a weekend trip. AS follows are my thoughts regarding the property: Location: Overall pretty conveniently located. About 25 minutes and mostly highway from the airport. The hotel is right downtown in a central complex of buildings with the GM headquarters. We travelled around a bit and it was...

We stayed here for two nights for a conference at Cobo Hall. It was close enough that we could walk to and from which was real convenient. The rooms were really small. They were clean and neat. This hotel is very expensive for such a small size room. No refrigerator or coffee maker. We had no soap so we had...

Enjoyed our stay, the round Renaissance building had parts under construction but the service was fantastic. The People Mover is located onsite so we were able to get to the Cobo Center and Joe Louis arena for a Detroit Red Wing game. The breakfast buffet in the morning has such variety. A very pleasurable stay.
