I stayed here one night for business. I prefer Marriotts and have stayed in quite a few, this one was just ok. Nothing terribly remarkable except for the views. An earlier review suggested they just had a major renovation, I didn't notice this at all and while there/before seeing that comment felt an update was in order in the sleeping...

If you are searching for a hotel in Detroit you've found a great one. Here are 3 reasons why you will love this hotel. 1) $30,000,000 renovation. The hotel just went thru an update and you will love all they've done to make this a wonderful experience. 2) "Anthony M". You'll note his name on the responses to all tripadvisor...

The restaurant and bar areas are typical of major metropolitan hotels. The Concierge's lounge provides exceptional service. Hotel management was very receptive to feedback and suggestions. Rooms are very good. Avoid lower floors because of street noise.

I booked a two (2) room reservation weeks in advance so our hockey family (8 Adults) could make a weekend out of our 'pilgrimage' to the Joe Louis Arena - before it's torn down - to watch our Detroit Red Wings play the Pittsburgh Penguins ... Service #1 - After having called twice ahead of our arrival to confirm that...

You go here, of course because of the location and ease of access to the rest of the city. This is pretty much the reason to pay the premium vs staying in a hotel out in Novi or Farmington Hills. If you are staying here, try and get a view along the river...mine was looking straight into the offices in...

I took my family to Downtown Detroit for an overnight stay which turned out to be a food extravaganza! I made our reservation and while doing so I requested the highest floor available. We were accommodated with a room on the 65th floor with a water/city view. The room was great. It was clean, spacious and the beds were extremely...

Was able to nab this room the day before preview night with Marriott miles. Getting to the front entrance is impossible during this evening, so we parked in the structure that had a Marriott sign on Beaubien...$20 a day. Upon entering the Renaissance Center, via the 2nd floor sky bridge, we were able to follow signs to find the lobby...

The Renaissance is the place to stay when visiting Detroit auto show. In the center of GM offices easy walk to the convention center. 72 floor Coach insignia restaurant was fantastic to view the city at night. Rooms were clean very nice and quite. The Volt bar nice meeting place and great Breakfast. Would stay here again when visiting Detroit.

This is a nice hotel for a few nights in the city. The hotel itself is large and a bit corporate, but it provided everything one might need. The hotel grounds are massive, it is a corporate park. The lobby is on floor three. On floors 1-4 there are a variety of restaurants, shops, coffee places, etc. The grounds have...
