Just returned from 4 days 3 nights at this hotel. Wow! I have never stayed at a hotel where every single staff member was so hospitable, helpful, professional and set a tone of what kind of residents make up the city of Detroit. A smile from all and Concierge Ms. Sylvia Brazelton - Hendricks went above and beyond printing my...

We have stayed here several times, even though we live in Metro Detroit. I love the Renaissance Center. The hotel is the main tennant, but there is much more. There are shops in the promenade, a couple restaurants, not to mention the People Mover (a kind of elevated train) which has a station there and can take you to the...

Rooms from high floors have great views across the river, good central location for down town. Super loud humming fridge in room. Breakfast was a disaster, large restaurant with only two people on the floor at breakfast, every table uncleared, with used plates from previous guests. Waitress was nice but totally overwhelmed. Management needs to get on top of this.

The Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center is comfortable, but can be very busy as there can be several events going on at once! I visited the hotel for a conference in April 2017. If you are responsible for making travel arrangements for a group to this hotel, get the names of all your contacts, save all your correspondence, and...

I love love love this hotel. It was right on the water, my view was Canada. This would be my choice when I visit Detroit again. The Concierge lounge was awesome! Kim and Rose were wonderful. They advised me of places to go and things to do. I really enjoyed them. Definitely looking forward to coming back!

Travelled to Detroit for business and stayed at the Marriott, Renaissance Centre. Staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms quite comfortable. Quite central to restaurants, Casino, Greek Town (10-15 minutes walk.) The "People Mover" was a good way to get around and see a bit of the town. I would be happy to stay here again.

I stayed her for a business meeting. The hotel is located right in the middle of the GM Renaissance Center, perfect place for meetings in the center... Stayed for two nights. Everyone from the valet parking to the wait staff were helpful, cheerful and very attentive. The room on the 30th floor had a beautiful view of the river. The meals were wonderful as well. Planning to visit again. I only saw fee based internet, not free. Quick check in and out. Valet parking was well worth...

This is my favorite place to stay in Detroit! On a clear day you can see forever! Blocks away from Greek Town, across the river from Ontario and buzzing with a renewed energy in Detroit itself. LOve the revamped lobby on the third floor. The convenience to shops in the GM Center is great.

We live just 33 miles from Detroit and occasionally stay overnight - go to the theater, a Tigers game, Red Wings game, etc. and then get up the next morning and visit the Greektown Casino. Makes for a nice 24 hour getaway. The views from the hotel and traditional Marriott amenities make it our favorite - only reduced to four...
