I have to stay at the Dearborn Inn occasionally. I have stayed in a couple of rooms that are outstanding, but their run of the mill rooms are sub-standard for a Marriott property. The room I stayed in most recently had a sheet under a light comforter. The sheet wasn’t even

Dear KARXPRT - Thank you for taking the time to post a review about your recent Dearborn Inn stay. We learn from guest feedback via our guest satisfaction surveys, as well as reviews such as yours. Please know that your comments are appreciated, and taken very seriously. While we are glad to read of your satisfaction with the staff service, as well as the facilities and amenities in the main hotel building, we regret that the attributes of your guestroom resulted in a rating that falls short of our standards. We certainly agree with you that the rooms are due for renovation. When this occurs, approximately 75% of the baths will be converted from tubs to walk-in shower as you noted. In the interim, due to the historic nature of the hotel --- including three expansions since the inn's 1931 opening --- we have a number of different room types and configurations. These rooms reflect the era in which they were built, and the room you describe is likely one that will not receive a curved shower rod based on the how the tub is laid out. As a Ford-owned property, Marriott is working closely with ownership on this renovation, and we hope to make progress with the planning phase in the coming months. In the interim, if there is anything we can do to assist for a future visit, or you would like additional follow up form your recent stay, please e-mail to mhrs.dtwdi.gm@marriott.com, and we will contact you at your convenience. Thank you again for your review, and for staying at the Dearborn Inn. Sincerely, Dearborn Inn General Manager and Staff

Bottom line: this hotel is not worth the price. The hotel grounds are nice and maybe some of the rooms are nice but I wouldn't chance it because I was placed in a room that was barely a step up from a Motel 6 in the Burbank building. The room was dark, dirty, and it seemed like

Dear Nyesha B - Thank you for taking the time to submit a review of your recent stay. Your impressions, and those of other guests, are very important to us. As a historic property that has undergone three expansions, the Dearborn Inn does have a wide variety of room styles and locations within its 8-building campus. The Burbank accommodations are part of a two-building expansion, during a time when motor travel was flourishing, and parking directly adjacent to guestrooms was very important to many travelers. We understand that this attribute is not as important to today's traveler, and regret any inconvenience you experienced due to the room location. While the rooms in these buildings offer every appointment available in our standard rooms throughout the property, the cleanliness and condition you describe falls short of our standards, and I apologize for such a disappointing experience. If you brought these matters to the attention of our staff, I hope they were handled with care and professionalism. If this matter requires further follow up, please e-mail to mhrs.dtwdi.gm@marriott.com, and I will be pleased to contact you at your convenience Thank you again for your review. We hope to have an opportunity to make amends for your disappointment, and retain you as a long term Marriott guest. Sincerely, Dearborn Inn General Manager and Staff

Dear Maureen H - Thank you for taking the time to post a review about your recent Dearborn Inn stay. We take guest feedback in all forms very seriously, and will review your comments with our service team. The library bar you referred to from past visits, was called the Golden Eagle Lounge. It is indeed a charming room, and we have created a very popular banquet space that is utilized for a variety of social occasions for up to 50 people. I'm glad to know you enjoyed the Ten Eyck Tavern in its current state as the hotel's lounge. It was converted from a restaurant nearly 8 years ago, and has been well received by our guests, and is much more conveniently located near the hotel dining room and kitchen. I'm also delighted that your found the service to be good. Regarding your breakfast experience in our restaurant, Edison's, seating on weekends can be challenging and we regret that you had any difficulty. We do try to encourage reservations, as we have a number of wedding guests on weekends, as well as a strong local following. While we understand your observations about the dining room's table vacancy at a particular time, this can be misleading. Often reservations are for larger parties, requiring time to arrange tables to accommodate them. We do strive to keep a certain amount of space available for hotel guests, and I'm sorry I cannot address your situation in greater detail. Our host/hostess does their best to accommodate as best they can, and as General Manager I accept responsibility if we were unable to take care of you according to your wishes. Again, I'm pleased to know that you found the food and service to be so good, and only wish the entire experience could have been perfect for you. If I may be of additional assistance in this matter, please e-mail to mhrs.dtwdi.gm@marriott.com and I will be happy to contact you at your convenience. Thank you again for staying with us, and sharing your impressions. Sincerely, Dearborn Inn General Manager and Staff
