I don't think I have ever felt more unwelcome from the time we checked in until we checked out. We were told about all rules after we checked in... No noise after 9 and the doors lock at 11 and your key will not open the front door. When we acted surprised the owner said that we could check out...

We just returned from a two night stay at The Listening Inn. We enjoyed our stay and can't wait to return. We received a great deal from Living Social, but upon looking at their website the regular room rate is more than reasonable. Pros: -Remote location that truly takes you away from everything. Our cell phone service was splotchy was...

My boyfriend and I, along with another couple, went to the Listening Inn for a couples weekend. When we arrived, no one was around. We walked through the house, called out for someone and 5 minutes later a woman walked out of a room and in a bothered tone asked if she could help us. Then she demanded to see...

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. Fall colors were great and the room was very comfortable. Cell phone service was non-existant, which is exactly what I wanted!

My wife and I were traveling in the U.P. for a week on our fall COLOR TOUR and on our way home. There isn't to much cell phone service in the U.P. of Michigan and we were near The Listening Inn. We just stopped by chance to see if maybe they would have an open room. Carol and Les were...

Dangerous spiral staircase which you must drag all your luggage up. You could see nails coming loose from the stairs and rail. Chairs on our deck were dirty. The burgundy color futon cover had wet spots and cat hair. Low ceilings in the room and different level of floors made you feel like you were in a circus fun-house. The...

The building is wonderful, the scenery is great, and Carol & Les are especially good at making everyone comfortable. We took the canoe trip along the Pain River & loved it. We also loved the opportunity to see some of the local wildlife and to learn more about it. We would be back here tomorrow if we could get away...

My wife and I stayed there Sept 17th through the 21st. We do like B+D's to stay at.. This was quite a fantastic place. From the meals, to the hiking and the animals, including the black bear was enjoyable. Carol and Les were great hosts who went out of thier way to make sure you were comfortable. Are we going...

My husband and I have stayed at many bed and breakfasts in the last ten years. We highly recommend Carol and Les's -The Listening Inn. We felt at home and relaxed the moment we entered this spacious log home. BTW we traveled with our teen-aged granddaughter this time. There is a pool table and many magazines that kept her occupied....

I been staying at the Bed and Breakfast for five years. It's a home not a hotel or motel. You have respect for other people and for the home owners. All places have rules and should be asked about before you stay. The are wonderful people and yes they have their own animals. They don't have places for people to...
