We stayed 2nights in the small loop. Quiet. Not crowded at all. Friendly and helpful staff. Short walk to the public beach. Beach was clean, we could have walked for many miles to the south. The only con would be that the small loop only has one shower/toilet. One for men. One for women. We did not venture over to...

Great beach, warm and friendly staff, nice camping, close to south haven and not crowded. Great little gem. I spent one night tent camping and had a great time. It's very safe and off the beaten path. Kayaking the lake was fun. Watching the sunset was wonderful.

The bathrooms were filthy and poorly maintained, the worst being black mold growing all over the shower stalls, no toilet paper, just overall very poorly serviced!! Over crowding-several families with 10 children and 6 adults in 2 sites across from us. We will not be returning.

We stopped at three different campgrounds on our way to northern Michigan. Covert was great: walking distance to the beach, quiet, friendly staff, and not too crowded! Will go back! The only reason I did note rate 5 was because the bathrooms needed cleaned, but was not too awful bad.

Camped here a June 10-13, 2016. The restrooms were great until Saturday afternoon. They were cleaned Saturday morning and then not again while we stayed there. Saturday was very busy so toilets were full, wastebaskets full and the floors filthy. Showers were also a mess. Too bad it ended on such a bad note.

Quiet, shady, pleasant campsite for our first Motorhome experience. Nice bathroom facilities. Friendly helpful campers next to us. Check in and little store were convenient. Blueberry farm and South Haven State Park right up the road. We will be returning!

This is an amazing beach. It is off the beaten path, but worth it to be on a beach with less people. The campground is descent. We don't mind it because we don't need bells and whistles. There are a couple of camping cabins that are simple, but nice for an easy camping trip. The bathroom is pretty average, but...

Found this place by accident, after going to South Haven. There beach was packed so we drove south on Bluestar Highway and found the sign for this park. It's a ways off the highway, stay on road to end. It's $7.oo for the whole day. There is camping, picnic tables, playground and pour a potties. Which were very clean and...

This was our first stop in Michigan. This has to be the best KOA we stayed at. South Haven is nearby gem. Great ride on the Kal Haven bike trail and visit to Maritime museum. We spent three days here and there was a nearby park to access the beach at Covert park. We also found a place to ride...

“"Primitive" tent sites T8 and T9 are the most secluded and close to the beach. You'll walk your gear from parking up a few flights of stairs to get to the clearing site, but it's totally worth it. Would not have enjoyed our stay nearly as much if we were surrounded by the RVs on the lower level.”
