Detailed Reviews
This is a reasonably priced, clean and comfortable hotel in a convenient location. The staff is very friendly and helpful. A room in Frankenmuth would have cost in excess of $350, and very few will accommodate pets. This was $155 for a King bed, including the dog fee.

Staff friendly and room was comfortable. Since my last visit a few years ago and covid, they do not automatically supply cups, soap, shampoo and other items typical of standard hotel stays. I stayed at several Baymont's in Michigan this past week and not all followed same protocol. If anyone reads this before visiting this Baymont be sure to ask for soap etc at time of check-in. My one recommendation is to provide a better grab and go breakfast. The selections were minimum and the granola bar was smooshed while the juice and fruit cup were warm. I gave four stars for comfortable room and friendly staff.

The room temperature was difficult to regulate. The jacuzzi in our room shot out a bunch of brown flakes when the jets were turned on. It was disgusting and we couldn’t use it. My wife lost out on her $10 bath bomb. When we reported it the hotel manager gave us a $10 credit and 1,000 reward points which we felt was a fair resolution.

I stayed here while visiting the Memorial Cup in Saginaw and was pleasantly surprised!
The staff were very friendly and attentive. The common areas of the hotel were clean and my room was absolutely spotless. My room was very quiet, the bed comfortable, and the A/C was efficient and quiet.
I never made it to the pool, but my buddies' kids said it was the "best pool ever!"
I slept through breakfast most mornings, but there are plenty of places nearby for a solid breakfast.
The location was very convenient to get to from the I-75, but was far enough away that I didn't hear any highway noise.
The only downsides: the elevator was slow and there was very little water pressure in the shower.
Overall, I was really happy with my stay. I was comfortable and felt I received very good value.

Mobile app not functioning for remote check in. Breakfast is very disappointing. Baymont should provide vouchers for guests to go next door at the Cracker Barrel for a real breakfast. The remote provided for the tv is the worst remote I have ever used. Staff is constantly sitting right outside of the main entrance to take their smoke breaks, disgusting!

Had an issue with my kids being bit by some kind of bugs and one of the staff was in a hurry. Just about walked over my son. I spoke to the front desk and got everything sorted or so i thought. Went outside to smoke and another staff member was running her mouth about the whole thing. We checked in with 5 people and we were supposed to get 2 queen size beds in the room but unfortunately came with 2 full size beds. The person I spoke to at the front desk was professional but apparently the staff has no idea about professionalism. We will be finding a different hotel next time.

While visiting Santa and the North Pole (aka Bronners) we decided to stay in the area instead of driving back the same night. (Roads were a bit icy) Despite staff shortages, the room was clean and well stocked with coffee, cups, towels and we even got the extra pillows requested. Holiday Movies on the tv all night and a comfortable room - It completed a wonderful weekend. :) We'll definitely be back!

It is an older property but well maintained. My room was perfect as if it had been recently updated. I don't know what some other reviewers are talking about about the room but mine was great. Every member of the staff including Steve at the front desk and Jesse who keeps breakfast running smoothly we're friendly and helpful. I'll be returning to stay there again

We stayed here one night. Very clean and well-kept. Breakfast was totally fine. Great value, I definitely would stay here again. We arrived late, after 12 o’clock midnight. The entire hotel I was very quiet. The front desk person was very helpful. We got checked into our room very quickly. No surprises. Everything was clean, neat and in order. Breakfast the next morning was totally what you would expect eggs, sausage, biscuits, coffee, fruit, yogurt, all the normal hotel breakfast things. It was good quality, hot, with a clean breakfast area. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again.

One of the worst places I’ve stayed, I don’t know how it had good reviews, the place looked junky and the room smelled like smoke, we paid extra to get a whirlpool tub room, and it looked so bad we didn’t feel safe using it. Plus the room had a strong cigarette smell in it. I cannot believe this place charged $288 for a room that wasn’t worth $150…the bed was decently comfortable though, and staff was friendly, and the place was clean, though it didn’t look like it because it needs so much updating. The outside looks like a compound, and is obviously falling apart in several places.

This is the manager of the hotel. How can I take care of your requests?
Is your pool and hot tub open?
I'm sorry to hear that. We have stayed at this hotel twice and have been satisfied both times - and I'm pretty picky. Hopefully you got the manager and your issue will be resolved.
I was asked if I could provide any suggestions, so here are my thoughts. We chose Baymont because it was right off I-75 and yet close enough to Frankenmuth. It is only about 7 miles and a nice drive. We are Wyndham Hotel Rewards members and have not been disappointed with their quality, so we seek them out. As for a year out, give them a call now. If this is a popular event, we have learned the hard way, to not wait till the last minute. Always check the cancellation policy...you can usually cancel as close as the day before arrival. This hotel is a very nice place for friends and family. Have a wonderful time!
