Upon arrival had to wait 10 minutes for a worker to come to the desk. He came from the outside. Hotel, feels a bit tired and dirty. Room was okay, door looked like it has been had to be broken into a few times, but then noticed others like this too. Didn't realize until last day just how dirty our room floor was - our white socks were simply gross.

Hotel's Favourite
We had a very good experience at this Hampton Inn (Birch Run). We stayed two nights while our camper was being serviced. The hotel is pet friendly which is awesome - we had our two dogs with us. The hotel is clean, the pool & whirlpool was great for unwinding. The free breakfast was good. The staff are friendly and helpful. My only complaint is no microwave in the room. But the front desk people let us use the microwave in the breakfast room. The shower water was hot and plentiful. I very much recommend this hotel.

Check in was easy, enjoyed morning breakfast options, and kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Front desk staff were congenial, providing info and directions to places nearby. Close proximity to Christmas World and Outlet mall!

I love Hampton Inn as a brand. This property was a massive disappointment. It really seemed like it was frozen in the 1990s. When someone moved upstairs, you heard it. The halls were musty, but on the second day of our visit we saw, what we believe must have been the owner, sprinkling Arm and Hammer baking soda throughout the main floor and vacuuming. When we checked in our carpet in the room was wet. The front desk advised me that it had just been steam cleaned. I believe, in most situations, you are supposed to let carpets breathe for an extended period of time. This property needs to be rebranded if it is not going to adhere to Hampton Inn standards. It would be fine if it were a Red Carpet Inn or Howard Johnson's, even a Ramada, but to market this as a Hampton and have me pay and average of $175/night (w taxes) was an unfair business practice.

Quite possibly the WORST Hilton property! We stayed in room 100. The room smelled like old cigarette smoke and mildew. The musty smell permeated all the linens and towels. I finally got up during the night and sprayed my cologne under my nose so I could sleep without waking up and feeling so gross. The maintenance performed in the bathroom looked like it was done by a third grader (no offense to 8 year olds). The bathtub caulk was moldy and the tub needed reglazing as it was filthy. At breakfast, neither the butter or cream cheese was kept cold or on ice. I think Hilton has forgotten about this property or management has given up!

I was not impressed with this hotel. Room was very shabby with damage to the walls. worn furnishings and stains on the carpets. The room was beside the highway so their was road noise. This property needs some major updating. No one ask how our stay was and the hotel has not asked for feedback on our stay as many do. I can see why. I would not recommend this hotel.

Just don’t. This place is old and gross. We stayed on the second floor in a handicap room because it was the only king bed available. We could hear the people in the hall, next door, outside and upstairs. The bathroom floor was STICKY, the toilet wobbled, and the caulk around the tub was mostly gone. The carpets in the room and outside the hallway were filthy. Furniture was all chipped up. There was a thank you card asking for a tip. Not a chance! We need more honest reviews for this place so they lose their four star rating and people aren’t fooled like we were.

The hotel was unable to find the reservation even with confirmation #. They charged me twice for the same room, which took lots of effort to resolve. The room was filthy and there was a note requesting tips. The staff was clueless especially the front desk staff.

On the positive side, Ken at the front desk is very friendly and tries to help guests as best he can. The air conditioning works, parking was easy and the shower wasn’t bad. We checked in early on the Hilton Honors app and picked out a top floor room to avoid hearing footsteps. First room (315) has a toilet that would not stop running. Second room (318) smelled heavily of smoke. That was it for top floor availability and we had to move to the second floor to find an acceptable room. Beds are far too stiff for our comfort, but sheets and comforter were good. Breakfast both days we had to ask for coffee to be filled, and food was average at best. Unfortunately, this was our only Hilton option within 15 min of Frankenmuth, overall disappointing and would look elsewhere next time in the area.

We pulled into this Hampton with two kids at about 11:30pm after a 7.5 hour drive. The entire first floor and room 106 smelled musty and the bathroom looked like it had black mold not including the patched wall and what looks like major water damage in the bathroom. We received a $20 disconnect and a new room. Which was better but not by much. Come on Hampton get it together.
