My husband and I took a road trip around Lake Michigan, a Michigan Circle Tour. We were gone nine days and stayed in a different hotel/motel each night. We chose this place based on reviews and because other nearby places required more than one night's stay. You know what they say: Location, location, location. The room we were in was clean, so that was one positive. The furnishings looked time-worn. The beds were mushy and noisy. There is a road that passes in front of the resort, which we knew about. The traffic noise wasn't too bad. A very tiny bathroom. When we checked in, the woman made sure to mention a private beach. Please see the photo I took of this private beach. I guess it was private and I admit, it was a beach.
Nice resort with private beach on crystal lake. Clean and comfortable room, very friendly and helpful stuff. A lot of attraction nearby, good restaurants, cherry hut #1 , Mexican roadhouse #2 . Crystal lake is clean and safe to swim from resort beach. Beautiful sunset every evening. Recommend for everyone
Cottage #1 is 3 a 3 bedroom, 1 bath, delight. Very well furnished kitchen, very clean, and a great view of the Crystal Lake. In front each cottage has a grill and a fire pit with seating. Beds were very comfortable and owner, Jim is a very fun person. In October, we could stay 1 night, whereas in the summer it's weekly rentals only. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.
I have stayed at the Crystal Lake Resort many times in the past. Zee and company do a great job of operating this wonderful motel on the lake. The private beach is spectacular, especially when the sun sets. The location is close to all sorts of interesting points of interest, such as downtown Beulah, nearby Frankfort, Point Betsie Lighthouse, and Traverse City. Golfing nearby and all sorts of outdoor activities abound. The rooms are spotlessly clean and Zee and her crew are warm and friendly hosts. I highly recommend the Crystal Lake Resort and The Cold Creek Inn. Thank you for the warm hospitality!
Clean rooms and beautiful view of Crystal Lake. And a beach where you can sit and relax. Pleasant staff. Centrally located to visit Frankfort, Leland and Traverse City. Beautiful sunsets and a great getaway up north.
After attending a concert at the Interlochen , we booked a room at the Crystal Lake Resort. Simple basic accommodations. Yet clean. Took in a wonderful sunset on the beach. Though they have no restaurant on site. There are restaurants a few miles away
Stayed in their biggest cottage. Had everything you need. Nice up north experience. Clean and comfortable. Small beach but lots of chairs and terrific view. Need to offer more shade. Great for families.
We'll definitely stay here again! Zee was a wonderful host, very welcoming and accommodating. Our room was quite nice and had everything we needed -- comfortable beds, mini-fridge and microwave, large TV, free and fast wifi, and good shower. About 15-minute drive from Crystal Mountain ski area.
This place never disappoints. Beach with beautiful view of sunsets on Crystal Lake, clean and comfortable rooms and efficient staff. Best value in the area and Traverse City or Sleeping Bear Dunes only about 30 minutes away. We got a lake view room. There are also separate cottages (Book way in advance for those).
The beach is the best part of this hotel. Small dated rooms, bathroom had rusted heater and tub surround. He bedding was soft. Definitely not a $180 room. Check the weather outlook before you commit, most of the photos are of great sunsets over the lake. That didn't happen on a clousy, rainy night.
