Very unique log home with wonderful hosts. Breakfasts were very tasty and different than your standard continental breakfast (though my husband did miss the meat (e.g. bacon) and we wondered whether our hosts were vegetarian). We stayed in Mount Marcy East. Room was big enough for 2 though the walls on the 2nd floor were paper thin (surprisingly since it's...

Thank you for staying at our "unique lodge in Williamstown" where you enjoyed breakfasts, although your husband missed his bacon. When Journey's End has a full house we likely have more than one dietary issue to work with. In such circumstances we prepare a single breakfast that takes everyone's dietary issues into account and avoids potential and serious cross-contamination. If...

It was hard to leave the comfort and welcome surroundings of Journey's End Lodge. It's a truly unique log home. The impeccable care it is given extends to the attention offered to guests. Wonderful blend of peaceful quiet and pleasant social interaction during breakfast every morning - which was absolutely delicious each and every time. Great stay!

Patrick, we're glad you thought our breakfasts "absolutely delciious." We work hard to vary our menu and to ensure that no guests, even those like you who are here for an extended stay, are never served the same breakfast twice. After all, what better way to start a day in the Berkshires than with a delicious breakfast, aromatic coffee and...

I relaxed the moment my husband and I stepped into the sitting room, with its great log walls and soaring ceiling, comfortable couches and chairs, and lovely view of Mount Cobble and the hills beyond. The breakfasts were outstanding! Our hosts, Carlos and Alan, clearly love to cook, and their skill and creativity shone in the dishes they served. They...

Dear Claire H, you've captured in your review three essential points of Journey's End. 1. We chose this property for the view it affords, as well as its proximity to Williamstown and its treats. All our guests appreciate the view of Mount Cobble and the nearby Green Mountains. Many of our guests walk to their theatre, dinner, museum or other...

What a find! The Lodge is something out of Architectural Digest: log-cabin rustic and sophisticated at the same time. This is a new building, spotless and inviting. The bed was exceptionally comfortable with a beautiful mountain view: every window is like a painting. Alan our host gave us a warm welcome and prepared a gourmet breakfast: stuffed French toast, one...

Thank you for your review which captures what we wanted to achieve when constructing Journey's End: a log home styled after the Adirondack Great Camp. We were pleased at the opportunity to share our home with you and look forward to preparing another gourmet breakfast for your next stay. Your helpful comments on finding Journey's End are appreciated. When using...

A log cabin with very thick logs fitted together. The hosts are excellent and quite helpful. The four upstairs rooms are identical except that two have twin size beds and two have double beds. The cabin is approximately two years old and fully air conditioned. Many periodicals are available such The New Yorker, Foreign Affairs, etc.

We were pleased at the opportunity to host, and to be helpful during your visit, and appreciate your review. We note, however, that all our bedrooms are equipped with either full-size or queen size beds. We have no twin beds and would add that our full size beds are very comfortable for two average-sized adults. This information is provided on...

Journey's End was a lovely B&B . The rooms are spotless, the bed was comfortable, the view was breathtaking and the food was delicious. This is a great place to stay when visiting the theatre festival and the museums.

We agree with you the view from Journey's End is breathtaking and that explains why we chose this site for our home cum B&B. We look forward to your return so we can share with you other breakfast delights we have in store for you and...

My husband and I stopped over for one night at Journey's end on our way through Williamstown. I recommend staying for longer if you have the opportunity! We had a very rainy and harrowing ride on our motorcycle and were supposed to arrive at the pre-arranged time of 8pm. Check in is preferred between 2-5pm but I spoke to Carlos...

Like you, Alan and I are avid motorcyclists and have experienced the harrowing ride of a wet and rainy Mohawk Trail (MA Rte. 2) - it's not fun, but I'm glad that you made it well to Journey's End. Parking your motorcycle in the garage was, under the circumstances, the best possible arrangement. I know how uncomfortable it is to...

Carlos graciously accepted us on late notice and we had a great experience at this fantastic log home B&B that he and Alan recently opened...the pouring rain caused us to look inwardly at their beautiful home...we must return to sit outside and capture the beauty of their mountain views...

Alan and I, both, were glad to be able to host your visit. We're always glad to receive guests, even on short notice and when we have available room. As you might imagine, we and our neighbors appreciated the rain which was needed in the Berkshires, not just Williamstown. We hope that on your return visit, perhaps in Septmber/October when...

A definite wow factor, when you enter off the deck into the atrium, with massive logs stacked on all sides - my room had all the best amenities, with the enjoyment / wonder of the log construction - Carlos was a very gracious host - the good conversation and super rhubarb pie he provided for my early departure - all...

James, it was a delight to host your short visit to Williamstown and we look forward to your return to Journey's End for a longer visit. I'm glad we were able to provide a good culinary send-off with hot coffee and a slice of homemade strawberry, rhubarb pie. We have many other culinary delights for breakfast which we hope to...

One of the best accommodations we have ever had anywhere! In the middle of town, but on a large elevated site so your eyes are drawn to the view of 3 mountains, and you barely see the other houses. The lodge is an impressive log structure. Our room [Cobble Mountain, on the lower level] was very roomy and comfortable, with...

Thank you very much for your review. We're very pleased that you enjoyed our log home which is styled after the Adirondack-style Great Camp Lodges of yesteryear. We were careful when bujilding Journey's End to position it on a lot, admittedly difficult terrain, that would afford us and our guests with a spectacular view, the feeling of being in the...
