We never stay in B & Bs, dreading fusty places with swagged curtains, dusty cut-glass sherry decanters and guests tiptoeing around the hallways. The Paquachuk was anything but. It was beautiful, chill and delightful. Each room and hallway is lined with different wallpapers with historic or sea life references. Ledges and tabletops display coral fans, antique bottles, weights from fishing... More

We just returned from a wonderful and rejuvenating stay at the Paquachuck Inn. The location of the Inn itself is absolutely stunning, at the end of a quiet street in a working fishing harbor full of history and character. The Inn itself is beautifully decorated and each room was simply and elegantly furnished. We found Brenda, the owner, to be... More

This bed&breakfast is a gem in a lovely little port, five minutes by car from a great beach. The house is beautifully furnished and has a lovely garden where breakfast can be taken. We were very well cared for by the manager, Rachel. If the nine rooms had their own bathrooms our note would be five points. But it is... More

I will tell you right away that we do not usually stay anywhere that has a shared bathroom. In fact, I don't think we have ever stayed in a place where we had to share a bathroom, so this is a first. However in searching for a place to stay near Little Compton on July 4th weekend, our options were... More

I booked a two night stay (Friday & Saturday) and when I booked via internet, I wrote down my estimated time of arrival (6:00 pm). At 5:30 Friday evening Brenda called to ask my arrival time. I changed it to 7:30 and she said she would meet me upon arrival. When I arrived, right at 7:30, no Brenda. I found... More

I don't know where those reviewers were staying (who gave the Paquachuck poor or average reviews), but my experience there has always been satisfying and a lot of fun. I've stayed at the Paquachuck with my fishing buddy at least 5 times in the past 4 years and we've always enjoyed ourselves. The rooms have always been neat, clean and... More

The Paquachuck is a wonderfull Inn situated in Westport point, right in front of a small fishermen's wharf. When you arrive there, you are taken by the the beauty of the place. But be aware, the beast is inside! As soon as we got into the place by entering the front door to check in, Brenda, the owner, had nothing... More

Our stay at the PI was part of a celebration weekend -- a gathering of great friends, Westport Rivers Winery, wedding anniversary and birthday, introducing a new "partner" into the group ... just lots of very relaxed fun. So, there was really nothing the Inn or any alternative accommodation could do to spoil the fun. We all had prepared ourselves... More

We knew it was going to be an "adventure" because we booked only hours before heading down to Westport. It was going to be a beautiful weekend so we wanted to get to Horseneck Beach (awesome) early and leave early so as not to be stuck in the horrific Rt. 88 traffic. The place was pretty cool actually. We haven't... More
