The hotel was old (still uses old metal keys) and has no breakfast available for guests except on Friday and Saturday. In the rooms, if you shut off the main light (the only way to turn off the hallway light) then you also turn off all the plugs next to the bed (including any charging your phone, etc). I had to take the bulb out of the light so I could sleep and still charge my phone. The hotel cleaning staff came in my room, changed my towels but didn’t refill coffee pods, make the bed, etc. That was weird. On checkout at 7am, there was no one at the front desk for 20min. It seems the person working (Gary) he was in the downstairs doing something. All in all, it is a old facility with bad service and definitely not setup for business travelers. Try somewhere else. Odds are it will probably be better.…
We had room 258 which is towards the back of the hotel and while some noise is to be expected due to the highway behind the hotel I was surprised at just how loud it was in the room. The trucks seem to really get started at about 4am and at times it sounded like we had a window open in our room so sleep after this time was intermittent. The hotel itself is looking tired in the public areas with frayed carpets and curtains although the room was clean and tidy which is a credit to the housekeeping staff. Check-in was smooth and efficient with clear directions to our room and every member of staff we interacted with was professional and polite. A buffet style breakfast was available over the weekend which was more than adequate with plenty of options, although once breakfast is finished there are no other meal options available and the kitchen is closed. Overall this hotel was OK for a short stay but I would have requested a room change if I was staying any longer than one or two nights…
This hotel charge a lot, there is no restaurant, no breakfast even continental. Old bathtub and showers. Five times called for house keeper, no one showed up, once a person came and portent doesn't know English. Called manager right the way, she said she will send the person to clean up, but no one showed up and I left for four hours, came back same thing. This is worst than a 2.5 star hotel
I went to an anime convention there, it was a nice and pretty place! the pool was a bit eh but everything else looked nice. so yeah that’s it, keep in mind I didn’t go into any hotel rooms I just visited the center!
If you want to get bitten by bed bugs, have no sympathy from staff, and have management ignore you and push off your concerns for weeks, this is the place for you. I woke up in middle of night to bites on my hand and multiple on my back. I lifted my sheets and found a bug that I took a photo of at time to show the front desk. I had an allergic reaction to the bites where they became very swollen, red and painful for a couple days. I showed staff at desk and they could care less. The guy couldn’t muster an I’m sorry, are you ok, do you need anything (like ice, Benadryl, etc) as my hand was very swollen initially enough that people were coming up to me asking me if I was ok. The staff wasn’t even surprised which makes me think this isn’t out of norm there. I had to call management several times following issue. Took a couple weeks to get a call back. Then was told they checked bed and they denied there was bugs in room because someone “checked.” Said for me to send them pictures and they’d get back to me in two days max. A week later still no response and I was charged fully for my room and experience. I guess I imagined the bug in my bed and all the bites I got woken up to in middle of night. Had to check out early as at that point I had enough. And after a 6 hour drive back to my home city, I couldn’t go into my house until I treated all my luggage and car for bed bugs in fear of bringing something like that into my home. I should also mention another member of our party (as we stayed with a group for an event) stated he had ants galore after leaving a food item for a couple hours on the table. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere that staff have some consideration and respect for their guests…
Summed up review: -“do not disturb” doesn’t mean they wouldn’t go into your room when you’re not there. -tampered or missing valuables? Since there’s no cameras in the hallway, if an employee who entered your “do not disturb” sign room said they didn’t do what they’re accused, unless you have a personal camera in your room, then it’s just hearsay on your part. -make sure your room is clean & clear of any pills and/or condom wrappers before your kids find it. -everyone’s a manger until there’s an issue, they gotta bring it up to the manager. Detailed review First & LAST time we stay at this hotel. The “Do not disturb” sign apparently means nothing for protecting your property in your room. We asked for towels and hangers. We waited an hour and didn’t get anything so we left for the day with a “do not disturb sign” on the door & expected the hangers & towels to be placed outside our door. When we got back, we found not only that they came INTO the room to leave the hangers (no towels) but my wife’s make up & hair toiletries were used & left half empty. At the front desk, she was told by the “manager” that they’ll speak to the manager to see what can be done, if it was possible they’d credit back the products or refund our stay (had we booked with the hotel directly) but since we booked through a third party (we only reserved through Expedia & paid the hotel directly upon check in) it’s up to Expedia for credits or refunds (lie). Called Expedia, they said since we only reserved with Expedia and paid the hotel directly, it’s up to the hotel on what they wanted to do. Next incident, there’s only ONE microwave in the whole hotel, in the lobby. I took my 2yr old with me to use it. When I got back to the room, my wife told me our 4yr old found a small blue pill (as pictured) under the front of the couch where his crayon fell. Just in case there was anything else under the couch, we picked it up & found an empty juice bottle & condom wrapper (as pictured). Took a picture under couch and brought the pill to the front desk & requested a room change. Room change granted & they’d speak to the manager about the incidents. Days later on the next to last day, the manager said that the GM said in terms of the products, it’s basically he said she said because the cleaning manager said they didn’t do that & wouldn’t have the time anyway. Manager seemed to agree & said it “would be kind of weird to do that wouldn’t it?” Being that my wife was disgusted of using the toiletries after someone else clearly used it, we gave them the products. I told the manager that if the cleaning manager had the nerve of entering our room with a “do not disturb” sign at the door & being that there are no cameras in the room or conveniently in the hallways (to show how long it took to “just drop off the hangers”) coincidently placed next to the products, how can I believe they wouldn’t weirdly enough use my wife’s products? In which he had no answer. The manager said he’d speak to the GM and call us back. The manager called back to let us know that the GM would neither: 1. at least cover the cost of the products ($118) 2. Issue any refund or credit for the products, or stay or the inconvenience of finding a pill and condom wrapper in the room In the end, we will never come back or recommend this hotel to anyone looking for the privacy of their room and property to be respected. I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone that doesn’t want their kids to possibly find anything they can swallow or any adult products left behind from the previous stay that wasn’t cleaned. I recommend you look else where.…
I read some previous reviews and was skeptical but it was a nice place. The rooms were clean, and the location was good for us. The restaurants were not open, but the room had a refrigerator and there was a grocery store very close to the hotel, so we could buy fruit, juice, and muffins for breakfast. There were several restaurnats nearby also.
What an absolute disgrace of a place in every way imaginable. Checked in only to find food and cups from last guests still in the room that obviously hadn't been cleaned. We had them move us to another room. The place is laughably outdated but worse than that is dirty and musty, with dehumidifiers in the hallways. Then, for the coup de grace, upon checkout they double billed us, and when we called about it were told the manager had stepped out and the desk attendant couldn't fix it, but the manager would be back in a half hour. Called an hour after that...still not back. Was told by the girl she'd give him my number and he'd call back. We're now two hours later, still nothing. Stay anywhere else, even if they pay you to stay here. There truly isn't a positive aspect to it.
Visited for chess tournament. Had an issue with initial room. manager Nap was very helpful in resolving it. Thanks you. So far stay is going well. Ample parking. I hear management also worked to resolve issues with tournament as well. Great customer service.
I attempted to cancel reservation 60 days in advance and was told they have a no refund on cancelled rooms. I originally had booked room for a scheduled cruise. The ship I was booked on (Crown Princess) had engines issues and I was booked on a different date/ship. That make me mad--but what was worse, I was told the manager would call me--i haven't heard a peep from him---not a very professional hotel--I will never attempt to stay there again. Very poor customer service---
