Great deal on a good room with a comfortable bed and furniture. It‘a not fancy, but it’s nice and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Location was perfect for what we needed and gave us easy access to anywhere we needed to be in the Providence - Newport corridor. Would definitely stay again.
Terrible service and employees are not friendly. Disgusting rooms. They look nothing like the photos. The rooms smell and look like they are cleaned maybe once a week. Complaints arent taken seriously. Management is unprofessional.
The room seems to be a reasonable price but once they add service fee and taxes, the $89 turns into $130. However the worst part was the lack of bedding on the beds. No comforter or bedspread just sheets with a thin blanket. Did housekeeping take them to launder and forget to bring back. We were freezing and had to raise the temperature in the room 4 times. We had loud obnoxious neighbors whose children seemed to be doing gymnastics a couple of doors down. The noices lasted until after 11pm. Bath towels are small and thin and only 1 provided per guest. Will be my last visit.
room smelled....bathroom clean....staff needs training on customer service........bed was uncomfortable....overall stay maybe 1.5 out of 5. very disappointed with the entire stay. sorry Colonial inn. still the same old crud.
Smoking room available... with windows that open. Really funky smell in the room- stale cigarettes and just old and smelly. Paper thin walls- you can hear everyone doing... everything. including watching tv. Wicked tiny towels in bathroom - I suggest asking for extra. shampoo, conditioner and bars of soap supplied. Cars can be parked directly in front of rooms which is nice. Lobby was actually nice if you need to hang out for a bit for any reason. A little pricey for what you get.
I just read the other reviews and feel almost like I'm reviewing a different motel. Originally the room was $79/night but we upgraded to a room with a 'kitchenette' for an additional $10. The upgrade consisted of a tiny fridge and a little microwave. Maybe I was expecting a bit more, like a coffee pot. No tub, only a shower. The woman at the front desk seemed to be clueless about the area and where to find things. Housekeeping was nice. The room was clean enough but too expensive for what we got; maybe worth $60 a night.
The property is a great value- rooms spotless and nicely decorated, comfortable bed, microwave, refrigerator. Staff are all hospitable and helpful. Quiet, yet close to the highway. Would definitely stay there again!
I had read other reviews, so was not surprised that the non-smoking room did still have a lingering odor of smoke, but that would be hard to get rid of even if noone had smoked in the room for a decade. There were windows that were able to open with screens, so we just opened the windows and let the fresh air in. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The little pool was the perfect size for a small inn and was exceptionally clean, it was a great place to relax for a couple of hours. I would definitely stay here again!
This was the cheapest hotel deal we got during July 4th Holiday. We paid $115 per night. Facilities as not much also hotel looks very old but Fair enough! Hotel is situated nearby major supermarkets. It has all the basic facilities. Rooms were near and tidy. Good enough for a day.
I was very happy with how clean my room was. I loved that they didn't have carpeting that can get gross in a lot of hotels/ motels. I did not use the pool, but everything else was fantastic. It's also within walking distance from a restaurant and only a few minutes away from lots of stores and other places to eat.
