We wound up fall camping here with friends. The campground is adjacent to the jetty and state beach. The facilities are dated but clean. Off season, it was quite and not crowded. Off season maintenance was underway in half of the sites. A great place for families or groups of families - bring your bikes!

Beach and parking area nice. The bathroom facilities are not run on water but compost. One cannot believe the horrible smell in that building. Not sure how the other parking lot facilities are taken care of but one would assume the same way. I know conservation is an issue BUT there is NO excuse for the toilet situation. We went...

What a great place to camp clean bathrooms and hot showers very nice beach and access the power and water hookups are a little odd need at least a 25 foot water hose and a 110 adapter and a extra longer lead cord because it seem and at most sites the power station is on the opposite side so be...

We've been camping at Salisbury Beach State Reservation for years, starting from a tent and now in our RV. Our children go there now and always had fun when we brought them and now they're bringing there children. It's a great place, good size sites with water and electric, there is a dump station on the way out. If you...

This was the third time I stayed at Salisbury State Park. I believe I have even reviewed it before. I am writing this time to tell about what I witnessed on the River side beach. There are some responsible and irresponsible dog owners that frequent the River side beach at this campground. They should really call it the dog beach...

The campsite itself is a normal state campground. Basics are provided. My biggest complaint is the barking dogs that people leave in the camper all day long. Also people speed through the campground I was happy that I did not bring my daughters bike to unsafe. The beach is amazing. Very close to Hampton Beach also. So all in all...

No intimacy at all, lots of noise at night, specially agressive dogs and helicopters that created a weird ambiance, and the boats early in the morning just beside our campground, humidity so high that the nights are very cold, sort of sand mosquitos on the beach that followed us in our bags and bited us all night... Too much people...

At first glance you may think about turning around. But after an hour or so you say to yourself " We are at the Beach and This is Beach Camping" we had a great time. The previous reviews said the facilities were not so great, I disagree 8 out of 10. The camping is a bit tight and open but...

The ability to get to the beach is great but the rules and regulations are absurd. If you have a skim boarder or boogie boarder in your family plan not to do it. They seem to let the boogie boarding go but they do not allow skim boarding since there were so many "broken ankles". The campsite had trash in...

Campground was nice & clean. A little tight for our 32 ft fifth wheel, but overall good. Great access to the beach. I would recommend long water hoses & power cord for hook up depending on which site you get, the distance was fairly far. Very close to Newburyport, which is a very cute town with lots of shopping, restaurants...
