My husband and I along with another couple just stayed 3 nights (8/29-9/1/06) at The Mooring Stone. It is a lovely B & B just one road off the main street of Rockport. Everything is in walking distance (the sea, restaurants, shops). Our rooms were large, warmly decorated and very comfortable. The private bathrooms with separate rooms for the vanity...

“This is a good place to go for visitors without a car. There are frequent trains from Boston's North Station, and the trip takes 70 minutes. If you have luggage, you can take a $5.00 taxi ride from station to B&B, or , perhaps, hostess can pick you up if you call ahead.”
