We have stayed here several times and are always pleased. Jeanne & Don run a lovely place out in the country. The property is well maintained and retains that rustic charm of old New England. Breakfast is always good, rooms are always clean & comfortable, and the other guests that we have met are just another pleasant feature of staying...

I found Gilbert's through an Internet search when looking for a room near my hometown. The inn is located on a quiet country street, down a discreetly marked driveway. Comfortable bed, very decent breakfast and friendly innkeepers made for a perfect place to spend the night. We will definitely visit again!

This is a lovely old farmhouse that welcomes you to have a quiet stay while enjoying the nearby hustle and bustle of Providence. The proprietors are friendly and gave us great advice on places to go in the area. The downstairs private suite was perfect for my husband and I. It was exactly what we needed!

My family and I visited Gilbert's Bed and Breakfast, Rehoboth, MA, in May 2016 after my daughter's graduation from Johnson and Wales University, Providence, RI. We needed a quiet and inviting location to unwind after a busy day in Providence. We found that place in Gilbert's B&B! Located in the beautiful rural areas of southwestern Massachusetts, very close to Rhode...

My husband and I returned to my old home turf and we wanted something that was more comforting than a standard hotel. Jeanne and Don's home provided just what we were looking for. The upstairs was all ours and it included our bedroom and bathroom as well as a sitting area outside the bedroom. Breakfast was delightful. The house was...

Don & Jean Beardsworth made us very welcome, the rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean and we enjoyed lovely home-made breakfasts with our hosts at the kitchen table. We could not have wished for a more hospitable and friendly place to stay. It was one of the highlights of our holiday in New England and we felt we were among...

Jeanne and Don are a very experienced and professional bed and breakfast hosts. The farm house is very rustic but clean and interestingly furnished. The morning meals were hearty, with fresh fruit and berries. I found the stay very relaxing and comfortable.

This has to be the worst place I've stayed in all my life. We stayed here after reading trip advisors reviews and I think the reviews must have been written by someone who sees more than me. We arrived to a warm welcome but after that I wanted to leave, the place is dark and dismal, no money has been...

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and feelings. We are sorry that your experience was not what you were expecting. The house was built in the mid-1830s. The two rooms on the first floor with private baths each have three large windows. One window accommodates an air conditioner from May through October. The insulated curtains are...

Only 15 miles from the hustle and bustle of Providence, set in a beautiful country setting. We slept in the King room with private bath. Very comfy bed, great shower. Best of all was the warm hospitality from Jeanne and Don.

While I’m not one to post reviews, in this case the number of excellent ratings for Gilbert’s is so misleading (at least to me) that I feel compelled to. It’s hard for me to fathom rating criteria where this place would be considered “excellent”. I stayed in one of the downstairs rooms with a private bath (I didn’t go upstairs,...
