This is my favorite hotel for business travel to the Peabody area. The concierge suite provides great service. The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. I prefer this hotel location to other options on Route 1, it is in a relatively quiet location, and the sleep quality

I booked a stay here because I needed a place to work remote on the Thursday two days after Christmas. This day is a regular workday everywhere in the US except at this Marriott where they decided not to open the Concierge Lounge. I should have stayed at a much cheaper

Hello Joseph N I apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with the Concierge Lounge being closed. I am sure it was very frustrating to not have that space available. Due to the extremely low occupancy of the hotel is was determined to close the Lounge for the week of Christmas and accommodate our guests on the Restaurant. The hotel and staff were excellent. We ordered room service one morning to pamper ourselves and it was amazing. The hotel has a nice pool and a great little bar area in the lobby which was perfect for those who wanted to hang out more after the wedding reception and rehearsal

Marriott did away with pool memberships several years ago. The indoor or outdoor pools and hot tub's are available to hotel guest only.

I would check with the hotel directly but as I see it, I don't think there is anything really close by. The hotel is situated in a business park. You can take the train from Boston to Salem and then take a cab I suppose. Good luck.
