Please, stay away from this place! It is horrible: its filthy, broken drawers/dressers and they never cleaned my room during the during of my stay. The guests next door were fighting all the time and i had to call the manager. The place is right next to the road and it is so noisy.

My partner and I stayed here this past weekend and were mortified at the condition of the room. The headboard was removed from the wall and the pillows were propped up hiding the metal brackets that were left exposed which could have caused serious injury. The bedding was stained, only 3 small flat pillows which were very uncomfortable. Forget getting a good night's sleep! The mini refrigerator froze the drinks and food overnight and the tv barely worked! Now, lets talk about the other "guest" we encountered during our stay. When I say guests, I mean shady young males who seemed half out of it, loud and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. I was actually intimidated by two men who were in the hallway when I tried to get by they said oh you smell nice, I thought for sure if my door wasn't right there I may have been a very unsafe situation. The room number was 23 and the price was $130.00 which is not cheap for a crap hole like that. I would NEVER I repeat NEVER stay there again. When I discussed these issues with the I man at the front desk, I wasn't sure he even understood my English and made no effort to compensate for the horrible experience at the motel. Do yourself a favor and bypass this motels and spread the word. This place should be shut down!

You've been warned! This place is DISGUSTING!!!!! I literally pack up my things every morning and unload when I get back. Unfortunately I was there for three nights. It's one of those places I just knew I'd be fighting to get my money back and I was literally out all day working, and stayed out beyond, until I had no choice to return and crash out. I've been traveling for 16 yrs for work and have stayed all over the country in all kinds of places...NEVER in my travels, spending approx. 200 nights a yr in hotels and motels, have I ever seen, or smelled, a place like this!!!! TOTALLY DISGUSTING!!!!! People do live in the rooms here, Obviously, they literally pull the old desk and chairs outside during the day and congregate until about 1am each night.. I've been told it's section 8. Not that all section 8 is bad, but this is the type of place the section 8 of the section 8 come too! You'd get tired of reading what would turn into a novel here should I keep going and start listing everything wrong with this place. REALLY!!! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, if you value your kids or even your own hygiene safety, let alone physical, FIND A DIFFERENT PLACE, like under the overpass 1/2 mile up the road! I mean THAT!!!! I Promise you it's cleaner and safer.

I was looking for an inexpensive place to lay our heads for a few hours as we were en route from Boston to Maine. Even by the standards of Boston and environs, $135 didn't qualify as inexpensive, not for this place. First the positive: The motel offers plenty of parking. But our room had no amenities--not even a cheap little coffee maker. Bare bones, bare threads on the towels. We arrived very late and went to sleep. Upon waking and looking around, I realized this place, inside and out, was downright seedy.

The room was dirty. The toilet seat broken, the towels were so gross we couldn’t use them. This is by a long shot, the worst place I have ever stayed in. To top it off, the couple next to us had 3 children and fought all evening. We asked to be moved and the desk person refused.

We were desperate but I had no idea as I saw they were a two star on price line. If you've got kids - not even if desperate. Your car is better. Unsafe clients, dirty, electrical gave sparks and smoke when I tried to plug in my phone charger. LOCK the door, and get out asap.

We stayed here in 2017 when we added a day to our trip. Seemed decent enough but very basic. Fast forward to 2018. We decided to visit Salem and Boston again for 2 weeks. Figured we’d save money and omit the Hawthorne. We booked 5 mos in advance a room they advertised like a suite with 3 queen beds. We get there late at night exhausted from a long drive to be told that room isn’t available. That it had flooded and was being renoed and didn’t exist right now. Nobody called us of course ahead of time. Tried to put us in two rooms and charge us double what the room we had booked was! It was filthy and had drug needles under the bed! It was good enough for a super cheap room 2 years ago... now? It’s disgusting! The desk clerk was rude. I was told by housekeeping there was a 3 bed and that when Salem filled up as it was tourist time (October) that they gouged someone else for more $ and gave them our room. Please Don’t waste your money here. It felt unsafe also.

Will never stay there again and would recommend no one else to stay either and they blamed the rat on her as they said they left the door open and it must have come in that way..

The only bright spot was the cleaning staff, who were friendly and helpful. Other than that, the place should be condemned. And the price was exorbitant - $US 150. The room and furnishings were probably best described as "tired" five years ago - now they are bedraggled and worn past belief. AVOID this place.

First , I realize that with Haunted Happenings in Salem, football season and baseball playoffs, prices would be higher. The good, bed was comfortable, microwave and refrigerator good and the air conditioner worked. The not so good, had 3 small pillows on the bed, hotel right off main busy road so every truck that went by 24/7 we heard and with thin walls we heard people next door to. Hotel pictures of rooms showed a couch or chair and room had neither. Soda machine in parking lot was empty. To me if we paid $75 a night, I would be satisfied, not $110. Think next time we stay a little further away.
