The grounds were beautifully kept and very nice. The room was also neat and clean. Just a few complaints... our TV didn't work, and we had to wait until the following day for the maintenance man to come in to fix it. Also we got...More
First of all I must say that I absolutely loved Martha's Vineyard and my review of The Island Inn in no way reflects this lovely Island.
I will also say that I usually stay in nice hotels or apartments and do like my home comforts/little...More
My husband and I stayed at the Island Inn for three nights. We travel with our dog, so the Inn initially popped up on our radar because it is pet friendly.
We found the staff to be courteous and helpful, from the time we checked...More
First I want to give a big thank you to Carol for always being so pleasant and welcoming. Carol answered all my questions and she was extremely helpful during our stay. So where do I begin…the grounds at the Island Inn are immaculate. The kids...More
This was our first stay at the Island Inn. Gin booked on line having never seen the property.

I am not familiar with either of these specific units' but the condominium suite unit we stayed in (thirty something??) is functionally a 2BR unit with 1.5 bathrooms. There is a main BR, and a second sleeping area with 2 twin beds next to the living area, but it has a half wall rather than a full wall adjoining the living room. I found the place very clean and the staff very friendly, and eager to address any issues if you had a problem. The office opens late on weekends and my wife and kids loved the complementary k cup coffee and hot chocolates in the office. The distance to the beach and Lola's restaurant (BTW $1 oysters during happy hour) is great. The distance to the center of Oak Bluffs is about a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute bike ride. Hope this helps. We really like the pool and tennis courts are also available. Have fun.

The townhouse is spacious; 1 full bath ground level, ground floor bedroom has 2 twin beds, spiral staircase to master bedroom with 1/2 bath, pull out couch in the living room, small kitchen area, balcony to drink/eat breakfast in morning, room was clean. Location is closer to Oak Bluffs, on bike path, bus route, only a few minutes away. The ferry port is at Vineyard Haven and Oak Bluffs, bus and taxi service is available at both. Edgartown can be reached via bus or bike.
