Our room with two double beds was very large and comfortable. It was on the second floor. I stayed here last fall in a double room on the first level, and that room seemed much smaller. Everything was fine, but there is no elevator, which might be difficult for some. Nice complimentary breakfast.

For convenient access to Downtown Northampton you can't ask for better than the Autumn Inn. Free parking, WIFI, and comfortable accommodations are just a leisurely stroll from the many sites nearby. Near the Smith College campus, the hotel sits in a quiet residential neighborhood. We walked into town to see the Smith College Museum of Art (great mural by Mexican...

I brought two 80+ year-olds for an overnight stop on their car trip through the area. I live in Northampton, but in this case I was assisting my friends by driving their car on the New York and New England leg of the trip to visit friends and attend a college reunion. On of the guests is on oxygen and...

The Autumn Inn is an older hotel but very nice, two stories, with parking directly outside the rooms. There's a nice "cold" breakfast which includes cereal, bagels, waffles, hard boiled eggs, muffins and yogurt.

Not sure how this place gets the ranking it did. Its just a motel with motel furniture and sheets. Breakfast not worth staying for. Parking ok. You can get a cheap rate on Priceline off season. But it was clean, and the desk person was nice.

My only regret about my stay at Autumn Inn that is my group and I were only there for one night. My first description of this inn is "charming". I forgot to ask whether or not it is a Bed & Breakfast, but certainly has that feel. Once entering the lobby, this place smells and feels like home. In the...

This is essentially a cheap motel, with barely functional room heating/cooling units and uncomfortable beds. But you pay an arm and a leg for that. When our heating unit didn't work at all, we were told we could have extra blankets -- it was snowing outside. The guy behind the desk would have given us his space heater, but then...

1. Very conveniently located on Elm St., at the heart of the Smith College campus. 2. The staff were courteous and helpful. 3. There was a nice breakfast, included in the room rate. 4. The mattress was excellent -- very firm.

Two doors down from family and friends, the AI was the most convenient spot to crash on New Years Eve. Fresh bedding, quiet room on the inside gave me an opportunity for a loooong rest and late checkout. Breakfast room's roaring fire was a perfect place to read the paper slowly and take in the New Year. Will be back!

In reality this is a country style motel trying to be a country inn located in an outstanding residential neighborhood. The rooms are comfortable and well maintained; the housekeeping is excellent and there is a continental breakfast. The staff are all very hospitable --my only two gripes are: 1) the carpets need replacement and 2) the bathrooms need updating. Parking...
