Beautiful Wheatleigh is in Stockbridge not Lenox! It was often the case in the times that these great estates were built because Lenox had a certain cache to state that the address was Lenox. Wheatleigh, however, is located in the beautiful village of Stockbridge!

We just returned back to NYC after an amazing weekend at the Wheatleigh. We felt like we were away for a week in a European Villa, rather than just two days a mere three hours away from our apartment. Being at the property is a transformative experience; you literally experience the sensation of staying at a private estate with a...

I just returned from a Memorial Day weekend experience. On Saturday I booked Winvian using AX Platinum (Tier one upgraded to Tier 2=Log Cabin) in Morris, CT and booked the Aviary Suite for Sunday at Wheatleigh. My food experience at both Five diamond restaurants was top shelf and reported in a separate review for the Dining Room at Wheatleigh. With...

The Wheatleigh Inn, where my wife and I have stayed at least 7 times over the past 28 years, has always been wonderful with a marvelous and accommodative staff and amazing dining. I enjoy speaking different languages like German, French and Italian; consequently, the staff, which come from many different countries, permits this special benefit. We love it! Dr. James...

We just spent a wonderful winter weekend at Wheatleigh. It was like living in our own home but with a staff at our fingertips. There is no reception desk or concierge desk in the main room, just staff always there, waiting graciously to be of assistance. The staff was waiting to greet us when we arrived Friday afternoon with a...

Tremendous. We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at this truly remarkable property. As an avid global traveler for business and leisure, rarely does a property impress. However, the Wheatleigh staff and the beautiful villa justly deserve accolades. Sophisticated luxury with attention to detail was impressive and appreciated.

Our 2 night stay at this property was memorable! We won the trip at a christmas party raffle. We could not normally afford such a getaway, the rates are in the thousands per night and if I was able to afford it , it would be worth it! The level of service was impressive and the property tranquil and understated. The room...

There is nothing specifically wrong with the Wheatleigh - BUT - it is massively overpriced. The public rooms are unwelcoming and the bedroom (called a suite, but nothing could be further from the truth) - unmemorable - the bathroom could just about justify a two star rating - very clean, but poorly equipped. The staff are extremely helpful, very polite...

Wheatleigh is one of the great small hotels of the world. We went for cocktails on the lawn on our last night in Lenox. From the time we drove in it was the most positive experience imaginable. The hotel is a villa built during the Gilded Age and has been restored in the most modern and elegant way without losing...

OVERVIEW: Wheatleigh is easily one of the most impressive luxury countryside getaways that I've been to. However, it is expensive and has a very specific kind of understated appeal (i.e. I love it but it may not be for everybody). It is part of the LHW Group (Leading Hotels of the World), and according to Kiwi Collection (one of my...
