Stayed at Wheatleigh over the past winter weekend. The property is stunning and the staff is very friendly and competent. (Special thanks to Julie in reservations) You literally feel like you are transported to Europe when you walk in to the place and the valet takes your car. The rooms are extremely luxurious with high ceilings and comfortable beds. But...

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by 3 very friendly staff. They did the normal things like park our car and take care of our luggage, but they also brought us champagne, had use relax in the lobby and inquired about what would make the weekend ideal (local hikes, shops, food interests, etc). They really went down to...

Great weekend getaway from Brooklyn area. Loved the dinner and the breakfasts. Enjoyed Rockwell re-creation for the Christmas season outside Red Lion Inn and the Clark Institute Museum. Very impressed with Wheatleigh staff, accommodations and grounds. Highly recommend.

The most beautiful hotel out of dozens of hotels I've visited. Everything is perfect here: rooms, service and of course the delicious food! If you are looking for a quite escape, no doubt that this is the right place.

I was given a gift card for dinner at Wheatleigh for my birthday. My husband and I chose a lovely summer evening to dine at the beautiful Florentine designed hotel. The home was built in 1893 by Henry H Cook as a wedding gift for his daughter. She married a Spanish Count and they used as their summer cottage. It...

Stunning views from the windows of an immaculately renovated mansion of America's Gilded Age, with excellent food and exceptional service. The two restaurant options--the Library and the formal dining hall--are both wonderful, the former an elegant way to dine before a Tanglewood evening concert, the latter a treat after a Tanglewood matinee. A great wine list favoring French reds.

I travel to Lenox on business and have stayed at Wheatleigh many times over the past 15 years. The grounds and the rooms remain beautiful and well cared for but the level of service continues to deteriorate and has reached the point where the errors and omissions are both comical and worrisome. I had an interesting conversation with a family...

What an amazing place....sophisticated, beautiful, classy and expensive. But even if you can't handle $925 and up for an overnight, a lunch here, in the library, looking out over the grounds, is a way to experience true luxury. The service and the food lives up to the expectation. Do this when you're next anywhere in the Berkshires.

We chose to return to Wheatleigh to dine in their more casual restaurant, the Library. The pre-dinner aperitifs were served in the foyer area of the hotel before we were shown into the restaurant. The menu is good although not extensive but the food makes up for this. It is delicious and as good as the first time we were...
