The most beautiful hotel out of dozens of hotels I've visited. Everything is perfect here: rooms, service and of course the delicious food! If you are looking for a quite escape, no doubt that this is the right place.

I was given a gift card for dinner at Wheatleigh for my birthday. My husband and I chose a lovely summer evening to dine at the beautiful Florentine designed hotel. The home was built in 1893 by Henry H Cook as a wedding gift for his daughter. She married a Spanish Count and they used as their summer cottage. It... More

Stunning views from the windows of an immaculately renovated mansion of America's Gilded Age, with excellent food and exceptional service. The two restaurant options--the Library and the formal dining hall--are both wonderful, the former an elegant way to dine before a Tanglewood evening concert, the latter a treat after a Tanglewood matinee. A great wine list favoring French reds.

I travel to Lenox on business and have stayed at Wheatleigh many times over the past 15 years. The grounds and the rooms remain beautiful and well cared for but the level of service continues to deteriorate and has reached the point where the errors and omissions are both comical and worrisome. I had an interesting conversation with a family... More

What an amazing place....sophisticated, beautiful, classy and expensive. But even if you can't handle $925 and up for an overnight, a lunch here, in the library, looking out over the grounds, is a way to experience true luxury. The service and the food lives up to the expectation. Do this when you're next anywhere in the Berkshires.

We chose to return to Wheatleigh to dine in their more casual restaurant, the Library. The pre-dinner aperitifs were served in the foyer area of the hotel before we were shown into the restaurant. The menu is good although not extensive but the food makes up for this. It is delicious and as good as the first time we were... More

Our son was married last weekend at Wheatleigh and we cannot stop talking about this amazing property and staff. General Manager Marc Wilhelm is a gracious, exacting, hard working and fun perfectionist (how is that possible?). He leads a staff with subtle cues and high standards. The property itself is amazing; we have travelled to Italy extensively and on this... More

Total and complete old world glamour!!! My husband Alex and I just arrived back from Wheatleigh after spending one blessed night there, celebrating our wedding. I decided to hold our very private wedding there, just with a justice of the peace and us. We are getting married again with family later. First off, Wheatleigh is an amazingly gorgeous building with... More

Service was extraordinary. Staff nearly well trained, what one would expect of the fine hotels in Switzerland or the French Riveria. wonderful food and the setting was magnificent, A mere stroll to the summer concerts. some of the rooms are small but one has a wide choice of accommodations

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff are amazing. This was our second stay. The food wasn't as good as I remember it being. Dinner was just okay and breakfast the same. The cost was $1700.00. Not worth the price.
