My friend and I made reservations at The Blantyre for 4th of July weekend. We had tickets to the James Taylor concert at nearby Tanglewood. FYI, The Blantyre offers packages that include tickets to Tanglewood concert. We already had tickets, but this is nice to know for the future. There are 23 rooms, so book early if you need a...

This beautiful old home is situated on lovely wooded and hilly grounds. Each room is unique and has views out onto the grounds. The large public spaces are decorated with nice antiques and they have a fantastic pianist playing in the evenings. Service is attentive, and it seems like there are two or three staff for each guest. The restaurant...

I was told that the hotel was fully committed and surprisingly we don't see a lot of people around because it is very spread out and there are a lot of different places that the guests can chill and...

We first stopped at the spa on grounds for an afternoon of decadent relaxation. Resplendent in the afternoon rain, we enjoyed massage, a swim, a nap and a dove bar. From there we checked in to our luxurious surroundings, greeted with a cheese plate and sparkling wine. The manicured grounds are understated but compliment the chateau that quietly sits amidst...
