The reviews that are posted are very old. I stayed here and HAD to leave because the mold and mildew made me really really sick. It was one of the worst experiences of my life. I hate to post bad things about businesses but I feel I MUST warn people not to stay here. It is moldy, full of mouse...

Stayed last summer, and are fortunate to be able to return to The Berkshires and the Chesapeake Inn of Lenox. Very clean and quiet with just the right amount of caring from the innkeeper. So nice to be able to have breakfast according to our schedule.

One of the best hotel experiences I have had. Well-appointed, clean, my room and the common spaces in the inn made me feel at home during my stay. Its quiet charm is only surpassed by the excellence of its location and the superb personal service of its innkeeper, who accommodated my every wish. Thank you - I hope to return!

We had a thoroughly delightful stay. Extremely quiet and peaceful. Very few distractions so very easy to get lost in yourself. The complimentary BBQ on Saturday was a joy since we didn't have to fight the normal restaurant hassle. And to have a 75 X16 pool to yourself is amazing.

First of all, we selected the Inn because it is literally across the street from Tanglewood. It was such a pleasure to walk across the road and be on the Tanglewood grounds, and especially to avoid the clogged traffic both going in, and coming out after a performance. The stay here is more along the lines of a bed-and-breakfast. Actually,...

I want to thank the writer for recognizing many of our benefits. The proximity to Tanglewood is indisputable. And the freedom to avoid the traffic congestion only enhances the enjoyment of the performances! For more than 26 years we have catered to those who choose to avoid the institutional look and feel of major lodging establishments. We take it as...

Couldn't be happier with our stay at Chesapeake Inn. Walking over to Tanglewood instead of driving is a joy in itself. Room was delightful and we were very comfortable and cozy. John, the innkeeper, is an interesting fellow and will make you anything you'd like for breakfast...and...it will be delicious. I am sure you will enjoy your stay just as...

We stayed at the Chesapeake Inn last Aug. It was fantastic!! Walking distance to Tanglewood. We never had to use our car. After the performance we got to enjoy a glass of wine by the pool and watch the traffic. Great Location. John the Innkeeper is fantastic and Breakfast is what ever you want. When ever you want it

Stayed with John at the Inn last year, and am currently making plans to return this year. John cheerily accomodated my dietary requests, the Inn is in a fantastic location with relation to Tanglewood, I was able to pop onto the wireless when I had to attend to a "crisis" from work, and I absolutely LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the peace...

Being a music critic, I spend a lot of time at Tanglewood, the Boston Symphony's wonderful summer festival in the Berkshires. For convenience, comfort and privacy, the Chesapeake Inn can not be beat. Located almost across the street from the Tanglewood campus, the inn is wonderfully rustic and charming. The innkeeper John makes a cooked to order breakfast everyday. You...
