My wife and I and our friends booked a Fri-Sunday stay at the Thornewood not knowing what to expect and found it to be delightful to say the least. We have two small dogs and the Thornes(David&Terry) did NOT charge us to have them stay with us. We all had comfortable accommodations in their two carriage houses. At the end...

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Thornewood Inn for a short winter reprieve, on what ended up being one of the coldest weekends of the Winter. Our vacation package included passes to the Norman Rockwell Museum and a dinner at the Inn's restaurant, The Point, an exceptional value. Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted by Dave, the owner, and...

A rambling inn within minutes of really nice town of Great Barrington. Very friendly, personal, accommodating service. Room was clean and comfortable. Dinner was surprisingly good, very good. I had an early departure, and staff offered to make me an early breakfast - I did not take advantage, but offer was very nice. Liked the front porch, sitting room -...

We stayed at the Inn in August. The location was very convenient for our travels in the area from Williamstownm Pittsfield etc. The hosts are friendly and accomodating to guests needs. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. The dining room is lovely and nicely appointed. The bar in the evening was a great refugue from the busy days of wondering, relaxing...

Travelling without a reservation is risky, but when you stumble on a such an excellent place and evening which we did in October - what a find! We nearly missed Thornewood Inn as we spurned, and sped away from an expensive, and what felt like a pretentious, big operation in Stockbridge. Thornewood Inn is charming and comfortable, and come evening,...

My father and I were doing some sightseeing in the area for a day and had not arranged a place for the overnight stay. While driving we came along on the Thornewood Inn and decided to get a room. We couldn't have been happier with our decision.. We had dinner at the "The Point" Restaurant, which was at the Inn...

My boyfriend and I happened upon the Thornewood Inn after realizing that our much anticipated trip to the Berkshires for the fall meant no cell phone service. UNTIL, we arrived at Thornewood. Although driven by our need for modern technology, we found ourselves in a quaint B&B where we were greeted like long awaited guests by the innkeepers. We stayed...

My husband and I were on our way to a wedding in Maine and decided to take an extra night for a stop on the way. Our daughter suggested the Berkshires, specifically Great Barrington, and we had a wonderful experience. Upon arrival, we pulled into the visitors center , where we were lucky to meet Joy. We really did not...

What a lovely bed and breakfast! The inn was very clean and inviting, as were the hosts. The atmosphere is intimate and quiet and the antique furnishings pair well with the a trip to Edith Wharton's estate or say, the Clark. We stayed in the Lady Troy, where we would most definitely stay again when we return. Our room was...

My fiance and I stayed at the Thornewood Inn in Great Barrington for two nights this month to enjoy Tanglewood and the Berkshires. We, unfortunately, did not book our stay in time (i.e. before June) to really have any options that did not require a three-night minimum. The Thornewood was the only lodging option that allowed us to book two...
