A special thanks to Mario Gonzalez and Ray Johnston for helping to coordinate a special party to celebrate St. Peter's Fiesta for my friends and family yesterday. We were able to gather on the balcony outside the ballroom and enjoy an amazing cocktail party as we watched the Greasy Pole and Seine Boat Races from the BEST location in Gloucester! Our longtime childhood friends and family members had a wonderful time, even this morning they continue to rave about the food and drinks! Everyone enjoyed the hors d'oeuvres, artisanal cheese table and the chocolate covered strawberries, pineapple too! Would be hard to say what people liked the best as they named them all, so I will share my top 5 which were: Ipswich Fried Clam, Pork Empanada, Cheeseburger Sliders, Scallops wrapped in Bacon and Jerk Chicken skewers! In addition to the food being top notch, so was the service led by Shannon and her team (apologize I cannot recall everyone's names). One server went way out of her way to find our friend who has a gluten allergy and made sure he was well taken care of with GF options. Kara the bartender made each drink with a smile and also did an amazing job making my favorites, Aperol Spritz and French 75! The hotel was so well staffed for this event and the staff could not have been nicer. It's super impressive that local attendance, although always welcome is especially encouraged during this busy weekend! It's like their own special way of reaching out and thanking the community - just like The Beauport Hotel does over the Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays. If you have not been here during this time, you are in for a treat - decorations and pop-up events are the best! I am so grateful to have Beauport Hotel here in Gloucester. They recently celebrated their six year anniversary, congratulations! I have been a super fan since day one and always look forward to whatever brings me there. How fortunate are we to have The Beauport Hotel in our community, where they make you feel like you are home each and every visit. The food is also amazing and it's even better with their new chef, Jon McKechnie (loving the new menu items!). The entire team knows what HOSPITALITY means, starting with Bob Meehan, Concierge. No matter how busy he may be, Bob always goes out of his way to say hi and ask if I need anything, that means a lot – thank you! I also have to mention the gift shop, especially curated and managed by Kathy Cuddyer who has the most amazing taste level, this gift shop has something for all! No need to go elsewhere, this is THE place to find that special gift for someone…or me! Lastly a special thanks to Lauren and Ray Johnston whose dedication is unsurpassed. They manage this hidden gem with passion and love as if it were their own. Thank you also to the great team throughout the property who follow Ray and Lauren’s lead!…
This is a good hotel and I would go back. I would’ve given it another star but the room was pretty average. Employees were nice and the food is solid. Nice location to walk around Gloucester. It’s the best option in town from my experience at a couple others.
This is not a family friendly hotel! Used to be! Have to be 21 or over now to use the pool! Had reservation: referred so many family's here. Because they can't control the alcohol at the pool, all the families will pay What a shame!!
This is a wonderful hotel with an abundance of helpful, kind and knowledgable staff members. The small details and amenities are what make the hotel stay feel so spoiling. The restaurant has an abundance of delicious options and the rooftop bar provides delicious drinks along with a bar menu for snacking. My only complaint, and this is coming from someone who goes there mostly without my kids, is that the pool is no longer family friendly. It's a shame they no longer allow kids in the pool. The pool is never busy in the mornings and they should offer certain family friendly hours. I'd never even consider bringing my family here without that option and if they are looking to be a hotel that isn't family friendly it's a bit of a turn off, honestly.
Just an overnight stay, so did not have much time to explore. Room was nice, clean and spacious. Lovely restaurant and bar area with decking overlooking the bay. Was very busy in the sunshine out on the deck in the evening. Friendly warm service offered by all staff. We worth the stop over and would certainly stay here again, if we were the venture this way again.
We were here for an event. We wound up not staying due to the price; however, the hotel was top notch with a beautiful view. We had breakfast and lunch on the deck overlooking the ocean. We would have loved to stay; our friends said the rooms were lovely; however, due to the events, the only rooms left were too expensive.
This hotel restored my faith in traveling again, after an almost 3 year hiatus. It was BEAUTIFUL, CLEAN, with a rooftop pool, on a Beach, and the best part of all…the staff went ABOVE AND BEYOND in EVERY way!!! They were kind, caring, took great pride in their work, and made our stay here truly WONDERFUL! Thank you!! We will be back for sure!!
Lovely hotel , great staff , nice bar and restaurant with good food , room was large and very comfortable, parking is easy right outside, pool and jacuzzi on the roof was beautiful and quick service up there for lunch or just drinks, in the summer they have a roof top bar would definitely stay here again if in the area and would highly recommend this hotel
My company gave a Ball event at Beauport Hotel. The event accomodated 180 and was sold out! The views the set up the hotel was beautiful! The support and encouragment and attention to detals the best!
This hotel offers it all. Views of the ocean, a restaurant and bar with outdoor dining, a roof deck pool, jacuzzi, and bar with ocean and city view, clean and comfortable rooms, parking, and a gift shop. Everything downtown is walkable and though they have their own beach, other Glouster beaches are not a far drive. There are so many restaurants right in the area and the concierge had great recommendations. Having a hotel in the city with its own accessible beach is such a win. Walking in the nearby neighborhoods including the harbor walk, Stage four park, and the Boulevard where you can walk along the ocean and see the Fisherman’s statue offer scenic strolls. It’s a quick walk to the water taxi where you can ride all day and check out some of Gloucester’s known neighborhoods. It also hosts a lot of weddings because of it’s beauty and location so beware on weekends and book early.…
