There is absolutely nothing to criticize about Howarth House. It is a beautiful property, spacious, elegant, charming, peaceful, very well maintained, super clean, the beds very comfortable and there are lots of little extras like remote controlled fireplace, beautifully renovated bathrooms, sun room to enjoy breakfast, a billiard room adjacent to the house to spend an evening playing games and...

This was a wonderful break from big cities and chain hotels. The home sits on a nicely maintained property, and is welcoming when driving up. There are three bedrooms, and a very nice common area with porches, open spaces, and comfortable seating. I was in the North Bedroom, which is comfortable and includes a fireplace, has several windows, and the...

My beau and I only stayed one night but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It's a beautiful house, yard, space etc very close to the downtown and Brian and Linda are the king and queen of hospitality; not to mention I'm quite envious of their baking and cooking skills. Be sure to check out Brian's pool hall/game room for a...

We've stayed at Howarth House twice now and will be going back again. It is an oasis of peace, tranquility and breakfast to die for. The house is full of little touches that warm and invite you. The middle bedroom is unique in that the bathroom has a very modern hot tub-shower combo but the bedroom itself has a theme...

My wife and I stayed with Brian and his family back in October 14. This review has been on my 'to do' list for some time because it is worth saying something about. Howarth House is a lovely home, well cared for and shared with guests. Brian took charge of our arrival and our care and no problem was too...

My husband and I visited The Howarth House in 2012 and were fascinated with out stay. Therefore, we decided to go back, now with my parents, to spend New Year's Eve and receive the New Year, 2015. Once again, our experience was amazing. My parents mentioned this has been their best mini-vacation ever!!! The B&B's details and decorations make you...

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Howarth House! Brian and Linda were extremely accommodating and welcoming. The place was so clean! The food was absolutely delicious! We will definitely go back! The grounds were beautiful and we didn't want to leave. After breakfast we sat by the fire in the living room and just relaxed listening...

My wife and I wanted a half-way point between Kennebunkport and Stockbridge to stay for a night so we chose Fitchburg. While the town itself is not that attractive, the neighborhood in which the Howarth House Bed & Breakfast is located is: leafy trees; large homes; and even some mansions that could compete with those in Newport just around the...

We had a really wonderful Columbus Day weekend stay at Howarth House. Friendly and relaxing, we had a great time and really appreciated Linda & Brian's great spirit, hospitality and generosity. Awesome, tasty breakfasts -perfect blueberry pancakes and omelets- to satisfy your eyes and appetite, and with a delightful view to the garden including entertainment provided by an array of...
