I stay here every year staff is friendly, the room was nice. Can’t wait for the seasonal bar and grill to be open again. Renovation is being done right now but that’s the least because we enjoyed our stay.

Hotel's Favourite
For a scheduled trip to work on a boat I own, I reserved on night the week of October 25th, 2021. Turns out I followed the most severe storm of the year, worse than the hurricane that hit New England this summer. Travel disrupted. Power out for thousands, including where I was to work. Another storm was to follow. Conditions uncertain. Wasn't clear I could keep my schedule. Seaport Inn staff were very accommodating, giving me flexibility. (And, they answer the phone or call you back!) I greatly appreciated this, although in the end I kept to my schedule and didn't have to make any changes. I've stayed here before, often with my small dog. (The motel is very pet friendly.) This visit as before, the room was much more than adequate and very clean. There's an exercise room with laundry available for guests, which for me could be very handy as I continue to work in the area. New Bedford, with some truly good seafood and specialty restaurants open later in the evening, is just across the draw bridge. With everything else being highly satisfactory, what strikes me most about this motel is the attitude and friendliness of the front desk staff. Also, compared to some other places I've stayed in this area, which is not long on motel and hotel rooms, the rates are a more reasonable for the quality of room and service, and far better than motels with lower rates where I have stayed.

It is the WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED IN. Rude, uniformed staff. I wanted the manager’s name and I don’t know if the employee genuinely didn’t know or if he just wouldn’t tell me. I needed the name of the owner or manager because they charged me for the $150 security deposit after the state my room was left in. They have a lot of nerve calling themselves a resort. My room was a smelly, dirty, broken, peeling, unsafe, moldy nightmare before I even checked in. The fridge and microwave they brag about on their website, well, my fridge didn’t work. FILTHY!!!!! The room was disgusting. The walk up to the room was disgusting. Wallpaper peeling everywhere, every square inch of carpet was either stained or very dirty. The carpet and floor in the bathroom was so dirty I didn’t take my shoes off. The shower was so disgusting, stained, peeling, mold spots… had to skip my morning shower. It also felt very UNSAFE. The lock on the door looked like it had been broken and replaced without any improvement. Extremely thin walls and windows. Heard people loudly talking in rooms near me and people walking outside of building! I checked in really late and just desperately needed somewhere to sleep. If it hadn’t been so late, I would have checked out immediately after seeing the temporary guest entrance since they are “remolding .” The hallways were filthy and stained and the wallpaper peeling was everywhere. The summary: DO NOT STAY HERE!! Disgusting, unsafe, moldy, dirty and does not have many of the amenities listed on website. False advertising.

Stayed here 9/19 - 9/24 expecting to eat at restaurant and have drinks at bar for my birthday with my husband. At check in I asked where restaurant & bar located & was told they dont have any. They said they have a food truck that come on weekends along with live music. So Friday came and nothing. Breakfast was served on Monday only. Very disappointing to stay in a motel that long eating carry out for my 55th birthday. They offered me $27 refund for a $800.00 stay. BEWARE THIS IS NOT A RESORT. It is under construction with nothing to do but sleep.

This property is under major renovation, and the website will not tell you that. Dirty and not secure (doors propped open) Plastic sheets over one of the rooms' windows, and a shower that was not useable.

You can’t go wrong for being on the Marina, but unfortunately that ended up being the only real perk. For starters, the entire town has litter/trash everywhere you look. Upon booking we were told the restaurant and pool would be open, after all this is why they charge resort fees, however the pool was closed two of the three days we were there. Also the Seaport Grill does ZERO grilling, they only sell drinks(outside only) which can be pretty misleading. The “restaurant” was also closed one of the three days we stayed when we were told they would be upon all of the days we were there, and I’m almost certain they weren’t open inside at all!The food for the other two days was from a food truck parked out back, even with that we were told there was 2-4 food trucks and there was only 1. Entertainment seemed to thrive on the weekend which was nice, however there is NO reserved parking for resort guests, with that said… guests to the live music took up all the parking leaving us nowhere to park. One thing that would found concerning was that venue guests were allowed in the hotel to use the bathroom facilities, however they also had access to the entire hotel… a key was not required to enter certain areas, the pool being one of them. This made us quite uneasy. Also, on the website, it reads that the continental breakfast was upon until 10, but they closed at 9:30 so we missed breakfast entirely. We also saw a couple get kicked out of the breakfast area because they were closing, even after they got their food in a timely fashion. I have to say, the maids were incredibly kind and friendly. The owners need to be more clear about scheduling, missed opportunities etc. I understand they are under renovations but they need to explain that to potential guests and how that could affect their stay. Their main priority is their outside venue, but they cannot forget those that are staying in their rooms.

First, our room was dated and located over the entry door. The noise level was just atrocious. Loud band music booming until 10:00 p.m. and then the towel delivery truck starting up at 6:00 a.m. When I tried to open the window in our room, it came completely off the sill - it wasn't affixed to anything at all. They did come in the room and fix it - without asking us - while we were out. I purposely did not report it since I didn't want anyone in our room while we were gone. The bed was ok. The furniture was chipped. Breakfast was pretty minimal - a muffin and coffee and yogurt - just ok. It was nice to walk out to the river in the morning with coffee, but I would not want to stay here again. If you are going to hear the music, you might like it.

Our first warning should have been when we discovered the Seaport Inn and Marina Fairhaven, MA required an additional $100 “security fee.” Our second warning should have been when we noticed signs posted at the hotel touting “live music until midnight” at the property every weekend. Upon check-in we were told by the desk clerk a live band would be playing until midnight on the property and we were offered an apology for the noise right up front. I requested a room far away from the festivities as all we wanted was a good night’s sleep. The clerk (rightly so as it turned out) told me the noise travels on the water and there were no quiet rooms. Our room looked clean and nice but it was an adjoining room and the guests next to us included a belligerent man who continually yelled profanity regarding someone’s sobriety. These neighbors also had a poorly trained dog who whined at the bottom of the thin adjoining door. Clearly, the management here actively recruit these type of guests by intentionally hosting late loud music events on the property each summer weekend. They clearly know such activities will disturb guests simply wanting to sleep at night. If loud drunken events are your thing, stay here. If you’d rather actually sleep during the night, look for another establishment. I know we will and never return here.

First time staying here. Chose it because they are per friendly, on the water and we were traveling with our 2 dogs to attend Massachusetts Maritime visit. Room and beds were comfortable. Staff was very nice and helpful. We didn't use the pool or fitness center but they looked clean and inviting. The pool is indoor with beautiful ocean views. Their restaurant was closed during our stay. The location is great close to many restaurants and bars. It's a hidden gem for the price.
