Dating back to the 1960’s, this heritage building which stands 35 metres high once contained grain in four large silos. Peppers Silo Hotel was forged from this iconic landmark and is now converted into a sophisticated 9 storey hotel providing a unique place to stay in Launceston. Designed within the original silos, the new North tower offers beautifully appointed hotel rooms all with modern amenities including complimentary Wifi, LCD TV with Chromecast & Foxtel channels, mini bar and guest ensuite. Taking in sweeping views over the meandering river, the Gorge River Rooms and Premier Suites boast private balconies where you can soak in Launceston’s natural ambience. Launceston is renowned for its high concentration of excellent gourmet food. The Grain of the Silos Restaurant showcases the best of Tasmania, delivering on its promise of paddock to plate.

A really lovely hotel with excellent service. Very modern, clean and fresh rooms. We stayed here during MONA FOMA and it was the perfect location. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are in the area.

Probably one of the best hotels we have stayed at this year - speaking of 2018. Great view of the river which automatically relaxes you. Staff are very well versed on the hotel, it’s offeings and the local touristy areas. Nothing to do,pain about.

Mock Up Tamar River Room
Hi the dog only stays at reception , on the weekends he goes home with one of the managers . He was training to be a guide dog but failed the last part of his training . We spent four days at the hotel and probably seen the dog only three times so he is not there all the time People can also take him for a walk . Hope this helps and gives you some idea you can always ring the hotel to give you more information .

Do you have parking at the hotel?
Yes, they do but they charge for it. You can park on the road outside unmetered and dead end road so plenty of parking free.
