We just returned from my first trip to Martha's Vineyard, hopefully the first of many more to follow. This hotel was perfect for our multigenerational family. We grandparents took a "simple" room, no fringes. It suited all our needs and wishes - large, airy, clean, quiet, with enough closet space, and comfortable. The hotel boasts a sublime location, just on...

My wife and I recently stayed at the Harbor View in one of the one bedroom cottages. The hotel we have visited before and the service and view are great! The cottage was beautiful, everything you could want in comfort and amenities. We took a sunset cruise which was beautiful and informative about the area. Henry's Tavern is a great...

We only got to stay one night, but it was delightful! While the hotel is actually quite large, it has a very relaxed, quaint, b&b feel. This is an old hotel that has been well maintained and still maintains a lot of its old style charm, yet has all the modern amenities. The King bed was extremely comfortable as were...

From what I could see, this is the best property in Edgartown. We are not "bed and breakfast" people, so we wanted a hotel. The location of the hotel could not be beat. The setting was beautiful and it was just a few minutes' walk to downtown Edgartown. The hotel has a big rocking chair front porch overlooking the Edgartown...

Many large resort hotels that cater to events (e.g. weddings) and conventions have difficulty making individual guests feel welcome. When we arrived at the venerable Harbor View Hotel we were initially worried about this because there were several such events. But unlike other experiences we have had, Harbor View consistently made us feel welcome and well taken care of. The...

I stayed at this hotel over the Labor Day weekend. Normally I do not stay at hotels. I prefer B&Bs, pensiones, etc. In any case, another family member made this reservation for us, for four people in a room. The beds were full size, not Queen, and the room cost $550 per night, which I think is outrageous. Yes, the location...

If you're looking for location and family venue this is a great spot. If you're traveling as a couple or with young adult kids (late teens) you may want to pass. The HIT'S...Great concierge (Joann) many ideas for activities which we indulged in, sunset cruise, dinner reservations, chartered our own boat for a AM of fishing. The hotel also offered...

This inn is a charming, inviting place to stay. Wish we had had more time there. Lovely place! We were able to leave our luggage before check-in while exploring the island. The rockers on the porch were so inviting.
