Detailed Reviews
The homestay lacked basic amenities such as a functioning TV in the room and a clean washroom with fresh toilet soap.
Upon arrival, the toilet was found dirty with used soap, prompting a request for cleaning, which was addressed inadequately with only surface treatment.
Further inspection revealed clogged water outlets and faulty pipelines, adding to the discomfort.
The absence of a generator led to a troublesome power outage at 10:30 pm, leaving guests in darkness without functioning communication tools.
Attempts to reach management for assistance were met with unavailability and indifference, with a suggestion to wait for the power to return.
The quality of food served was subpar, exacerbated by its delivery to the room at an inconvenient time and temperature, leading to discomfort and illness.
Feedback provided to the stakeholders was met with dismissiveness and justification of the inconveniences faced, rather than genuine concern.
The lack of oversight, especially during nighttime, and the absence of decision-making personnel were cited as significant concerns, disregarded by a representative who seemed to be one of the owners, citing the homestay's non-hotel status.
The overall attitude and response from the management were deemed unacceptable and arrogant, raising doubts about their suitability in the hospitality industry.
A strong recommendation is made for potential guests to thoroughly consider their options before choosing to stay at this property.

Booked this homestay for 14th May 2021 paying advance of 1500/-. But due to covid situation I have cancelled their booking. Inform them the same via watsap as most of the time the number was switched off. They didn't respond against my msg. After some day and after so many messages they told me they will refund the money. But after that again they have gone silent. Am fade up with their attitude. Highly unprofessional. Don't go for it.

On 10th June I had send Rs. 1000.00 as an advance to Mr. Rabin Tamang for my booking. After that he was asking 50% advance. I refused to pay 50% advance and told him to refund my advance amount. Now he is refuse to pay back my money. A cheater, fraude. I suggest fellow travellers, be careful to make any advance to the Pakhrin Homestay, Lepchajagat.

+1
Located close to the Sun rise point in Lepchajagat, Pakhrin Home Stay looks like a decent option. Kanchan kanya homestay is another good option. We stayed in Pakhrin homestay for 2 nights in February. Weather wasn't good. The rooms felt damp and had a unpleasant smell. A part of the building was under construction and that was not a nice experience. The food was the only saving grace. It was tasty. People were friendly. Still it felt like torture with the gloomy weather playing it's part. The unwashed blankets and damp rooms seemed to be a good combination to make any person sick. Discretion is advised..

Location
Homestay location is very good.
Rooms
Only front facing rooms view are good but side facing rooms view are not good.
Triple bed rooms are actually suitable for two adults and one child and not suitable for three adults. Basically there are no triple bed rooms and all are two bed rooms.
Service
Service is very poor. There are huge communication gap between homestay owner and ground staffs. Be careful about online booking and commitment from homestay owner because whatever rooms, car and food service he will commit during booking customer will never get that when they will reach physically at the homestay. Owner never share any written commitment during booking.
Geyser switch is totally controlled by room service and only morning time customer will get hot water.
They will take early order of foods but during delivery customer will wait long time to get that food.
Car service also very poor. Aged person Prem mainly look after this service but he is also not trusted like the homestay owner. Similar like rooms they will provide those cars what exactly available that time and they will force customer to take that car service.

Our team of six - two families and one friend visited Lepchajagat 80 km from NJP known for beautiful view of the Kanchanjangha. We reached there at about 3 pm and hot lunch was served. But it was cloudy ndd drizzling do no peak could be seen.ln the afternoon we went to Darjeeling (20km away) for about two and a half hrs.Temp. fell down to 1 degree F at night. It was biting cold. But morning sky became clear and we had a nice view of Kanchanjangha. After breakfast we left for Latpanchor.

Stayed 2 nights in last week of Dec 2018. Rooms were ice-cold and damp. Reached the homestay at about 3.30 P.M. No hot water was available in the bathroom to wash our hands and faces. we were told hot water is available only in the morning. Had to wash ourself with Ice-cold water. Since my family included 2 Senior member (above 70 years) and one child (10 years), we asked for a room heater. We were told that it is chargeable (Rs 250 per room per night). We agreed and asked for the heater immediately as it was ice cold in the room. We were told that heater will be given at 6.00 P.M and can be used up to 9 P.M only. For dinner we were told we can order either Roti or Rice i.e if we order roti everyone in the team had to take Roti. Same for rice.
At the small hour of the morning no water was available in the toilet. Couldn't use the lavatory. Has to use the Urinal without any water. At the early hours water becomes available but all the lights went off. Had to use the flashlight from mobile phone to use the washroom.
In the morning again there was no hot water. We were told there is a power off. Couldn't take any bath for 2 consecutive date. Had to wash hand and mouth with ice cold water.
That afternoon we were told we couldn't use the heater as it couldn't bear the load. Had to spend whole evening and night shivering.
Not recommended at all.
