My wife and I spent a weekend in Solomons Island visiting our son at college. The Blue Heron is a beautiful home in a quaint waterfront location. It is very welcoming and our suite was huge with an expansive porch overlooking the harbor. The staff is fantastic as was the breakfast. We look forward to many more weekends here.

We discovered this wonderful B&B on Solomons Island and it is a real gem. Regan is very welcoming and she is a great cook. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. This B&B is located in paradise in Southern Maryland. Nearby places to see include Annemarie's Sculpture Garden, St Mary's City, and the Calvert Maritime Museum.

This was our 2nd stay there and truly loved it again. It is a very clean property and well maintained. The staff is very friendly and on top of things. The view from our room is beautiful except for one issue, a hug tree blocking a lot of the water view. The only other issue was that the breakfast was... More

Turns out the guy who yelled at us was also the owner of this b&b. He's the condor of the yaght club next door. You'll be able to tell which one it is. It's the club with no yaughts. Apparently his friend was promised the use of the B&Bs boat dock so he yelled at us and told us to... More

there breakfast is delicious, and the service was nice. Now the view was okay but there was these really tall trees blocking the way of the bay. But the town has a lot of good things to do but still nice to hang out in our rooms. The rooms had some cob webs and spiders but not that bad the... More

Despite all the glowing reviews we had read, we were rather disappointed in what we found at the Blue Heron. It was attractive, clean and centrally located. But it was sorely lacking in character and history. Reagan, the Innkeeper, was pleasant, but not overly welcoming and really had no clue as to how to make her guests feel at home.... More

My husband and I stayed at the Blue Heron for our first night as a wedded couple. It was romantic and perfect! We were able to arrive right next door to the hotel via sail boat, which made the day do special. The room booked for us was beautiful. The bed was so comfortable. We were sad that we could... More

Let me start by saying this was our second stay at the Blue Heron Inn. We first stayed 5 years ago at which time we became engaged. It was a wonderful stay, warm hospitality and one of the most delicious breakfasts we've ever had! Inn keeper Amanda Comer received her culinary training at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris and at... More

We spent two nights here in August and were very pleased. The check in was smooth, the room was lovely and as advertised. It was a great location to walk or bike to other areas in Solomon's. We liked the idea of having a restaurant in the living room area of the first floor and ate dinner there one night.... More

We stayed in room three, which is on the third floor. The description calls it cozy, and compared to the king suites on the second floor it is much smaller. We thought is was just the right space for us, and our 8 lb Italian Greyhound. The queen bed was very comfortable; the bathroom was much larger than expected and... More
