I feel so fortunate to have found this hotel, I stayed here last Xmas, and returned early August. The difference in cost between staying here and downtown Silver Spring is enormous! Everyone at the front desk was so pleasant, and friendly, especially Ramat.

Great service and very friendly! Ester provided very great service during breakfast with a smile on her face. She was on the ball with coffee refills and asking if we needed anything Throughout the entire day of my meal.
I’ve stayed at this location a few times on business. Excellent staff, clean rooms, good price. James in the bar is exceptional! I’m pretty sure he reads minds and can anticipate exactly what you want. Great experience at this hotel.

No. You can walk to one of the the bus stops, which are about a block away and take the Z6 or Z7 bus directly to downtown Silver Spring. That's about a 30-40 min ride in the morning. You could also Uber there, but it would still take 30 minutes inbound in the morning.
You'd be better off staying out near one of the Red Line stops like Rockville Center
307 S Stonestreet Ave, Rockville, MD 20850 or Shady Grove 15903 Somerville Drive, Rockville, MD 20855 Those both have hotels within reasonable walking distance.
