While not a resort St Michael’s Inn is a renovated motel or motor lodge which I loved. I liked being able to
Park right outside our door. The Inn is basic but quite comfortable and a great deal for the area. We were in St Michael’s only for a night so we didn’t need a resort with all the bells and whistles, we needed comfortable cost efficient lodging and it was just that.It was just a mile from downtown St Michael’s so great location. Due to covid they do have some restrictions with their continental breakfast but they had delicious fresh oranges and Travis was very apologetic. He couldn’t have been nicer and more welcoming. I will say the soap was not to my liking but the towels were nice thick and absorbent and plenty of them. The bed was comfy and it was quiet and restful. I will definitely stay there again!!

Basic overpriced motel. Our room didn't smell like smoke like others have said, but the cleaning product smell was almost overwhelming. You would think that the rates would at least slightly reflect the fact that they are not providing breakfast as advertised during covid. A Nutrigrain bar or a tiny pre-packaged muffin isn't breakfast. Just far enough outside of town that you feel the need to drive in and avoid walking on that busy road. Recommend that they get some hotel bikes to be borrowed for a cruise into town like some of the nicer Inns offer. The staff were not friendly, but maybe at the end of the season they have had it with tourists.

We appreciate your review. We do not advertise breakfast currently, but are offering a grab and go breakfast for our guests. Due to the pandemic, and these unprecedented times, we are putting safety first, and following all local health authority guidelines. We are sorry you didn't fully enjoy your stay with us, DaakRitz. We hope to resume normal breakfast as soon as we are given the go-ahead to do so safely. We apologize for any inconvenience cause by our covid policies and reduced amenities.

St Michael’s Inn on South Talbot
A friend recommended this motel. Margaret greeted us upon check-in and our early request was honored. She gave us the motels protocols and resource info and made small talk. While the exterior of this motel is dated, the room was large, very clean and fresh and was appointed with the necessary small fridge, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer, desktable and 2 chairs. Our two queen beds were firm, comfortable and accommodated my snoring. St Michaels can be pricey but this motel has very reasonable off-season and mid-week rates. The only negative was the lame continental breakfast of bagels, english muffins, bread, yogurt, cereal and instant oatmeal (but no microwave to heat water). Lastly St Michaels Inn is conveniently close to downtown about 3 miles away.

We had a very poor experience staying here. The rooms smelled like smoke after being transferred twice. We were inconvenienced with sandy, smelly sulfur water. Very hard to shower, brush teeth, etc. Although water was deemed safe, and staff apologized for the inconvenience, all that was discounted off our bill was a measly early check in fee. Staff here hates their job, and when the front desk overheard our water conversation, unprofessionally the maintenance man jumps in and says they just got a new filter system and that I am unfamiliar with St. Michael’s well water and life down here. Trying to make me accept the conditions with a “it is, what it is” mentality. Apparently the customer isn’t always right here, and showing a bit more empathy to a customer’s concerns can go a long way instead of adding fuel to the fire to a customer who is paying for an overpriced room with an inn that looks like a motel in the 1980s. Imm normally one that doesn’t write reviews, but I was so appalled by the way I was treated and the dirty conditions of the rooms, I would pick a different place for a little more money in a heartbeat!

Steven, We are sorry you had quite a time! We did install a new well and upgraded filtration system. We occasionally do have sulfur smell in the water, and it goes away after a minute or so running water. Although annoying, our water is tested monthly by the Health Department and is spot-on with all requirements. That aside, I would like to apologize for the unprofessional manner of our maintenance man. The safety, happiness and satisfaction of our guests are top priority for us. We apologize for the dissatisfaction of your stay and will be in touch with you directly.

We understand staffing difficulties and the issues business had due to Covid, but the poor conditions at this Motel are not new. Cleanliness ( or lack of) needs to be addressed as does the worn and run down furnishings paint , etc. The fact that there is a plug in air freshener in the room says a lot.

Hope, We are sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us. Although running with limited staff, and a few new housekeeping trainees, cleanliness is very high here at St. Michaels Inn. We are constantly working to improve the Inn and appreciate feedback from our guests. Please reach out to us directly, so we can investigate further and make it right.

This place is in a great location, very easy to get to restaurants, shops, museums. The staff couldn't have been nicer. I always like to have an extra blanket but there wasn't one. Not a huge deal but a nice addition in the winter months. Travis the manager came through and requested that housekeeping add extra blankets in the rooms. Thanks, Travis, and the staff at St. Michael's Inn for a great long weekend. Can't wait to return!

I reserved two rooms. Both bathrooms were dirty, the floors looked like they hadn't even been swept. The bathtub/showers were stained and dirty and looked like it hadn't been wiped out. They put a strip over the toilet that says "sanitized" but it was only around the lid, so I have no idea if the actual toilet was cleaned. All in all, the bathroom was nasty, we did not take showers. I wanted ice and the building I was in had 2 signs pointing to vending/ice, however, after searching high and low, I was told there was no ice in that building and hadn't been for a long time, they just never took the signs down. Breakfast was mediocre at best, although the lady working in the breakfast area was very friendly and doing her best. I stopped in at check out and told the young man behind the desk how disappointed I was in the both rooms and general cleanliness or lack of, considering the price for 1 night. He just smiled and said "sorry" I would not stay here again based on this experience, I would just pay the higher prices closer to downtown St. Michael's and hope for a much better experience.

We stayed here last August for a wedding and had no issues, which is why I’m giving two stars instead of one. We decided to return here for a quick last minute day trip since it was one of the only places with a vacancy and reasonably priced. However, when we got to our room, we were disgusted to find multiple spiders crawling around in the sink. There must have been a spiders nest inside the faucet or something because on two different occasions, as soon as we turned on the faucet ANOTHER spider fell out! IT WAS DISGUSTING. Then, when my boyfriend went to take a shower, there was literal hairy-like gunk hanging out of the faucet in the shower that he had to pull out. One of the towels that was in the room was also stained with yellow and brown stains. Ew! On top of that, the pillows were small and the sheets scratchy which did not make for a pleasant sleep (especially on my somewhat sun-burned skin—lol). Upon checking out, the front desk never asked how or if we enjoyed our stay. We would have told them about these issues had we been asked, however we couldn’t wait to get out of there fast enough the next morning! We will not return here.

My husband and I have been using this inn for years. They are very accommodating. We had a room next to people that smoked. (I have asthma so it was not good for me.) We talked to the front desk and they moved us to a new room. On our next stay we asked for a specific room. It was currently occupied, but they have us the room next door. It was just as nice.
The rooms are simple, but nice. But, we come for the area. Fotlr the price in this area,, it is a great deal. The room has everything you need: comfy and clean bed, refrigerator, microwave, clean bathroom, dresser, side tables, and TV.
Breakfast is currently a cold breakfast due to Covid. But before Covid they had a wonderful hot breakfast with waffles and eggs. I can forsee them going back to that post-Cpvid.
They are pet friendly. There is a nice decent size lawn out front for potty breaks. The lawn is well maintained and everyone cleans up after their pet so you're not stepping in anything.

Staff were friendly and attentive. Rooms were clean and nice and had all the amenities (fridge, microwave, coffee, etc). It's an older property and you can tell it's been remodeled. For the price and location, I would highly recommend. It's about 1.5 miles from town but they had a driver you could arrange trips ($5 each way). Worked out great.
