How far is this hotel from the Smithsonian in Washington DC? We were looking to stay out of the city for cheaper rates but we would need to travel in and out. Can you tell me if this will be relatively easy from this location.

Actually you would do better taking the Metro. We have a shuttle that goes to the Shady Grove Metro station that runs Monday thru Friday at 9 and 10 a.m. The shuttle ride is only about 5 minutes from the hotel to the station.
